Barring the unforeseen, I think we can put a circle around the 30-31 season as an apt time to start to see this team competing. It is to wonder what things would have looked like league-wide with regard to salary cap if COVID hadn't crushed revenues. Maybe Edmonton would have been able to buy the pieces they needed to get a Cup after all?
