The first goal was on him too. Was that a pass to the winger or was he trying to slide the rock into the house without sweepers. Hurry hard.

The second goal was a WTF? Heinen trying to high-five the puck but completely whiffed.

A bad shorty against.

A terrible penalty at the end of the game.

I don't think they were necessarily outplayed by the Sens, but they kept killing their own momentum with bad untimely goals against.

This is why I haven't been watching games. For the first time this season, I watched sporadically on and off from a stream.

Fuck it, I'm going back to LeverLand...

Got us a point POC
Keeping optimistic by only watching for what Hughes does.
Petey and Miller might bring the drama, but they are far from this team’s biggest problem.
The baldies need to make a move to get a defensemen that can complete a pass or at least clear the zone without giving the puck straight back to the other team.

Petey and Miller are far from this team's biggest problem on the ice. However, the spillover is going to have an impact and we might be seeing that in the fringe guys who struggle to play reliable minutes and are finding it a distraction that they aren't good enough to overcome. Myers and Soucy are reliable NHL defensemen, probably good enough to be the #4 beside a good #3.....right now they are consistently playing like #6 defensemen. There's an effect.

Miller vs Pettersson is an easy distraction. Juulsen, Desharnais, Friedman, Brannstrom playing... Myers, Soucy, Forbort with expanded roles... that is the real problem that mgmt has to resolve.
agree with this^^

we're in win-now mode but we simply don't have enough skill in the lineup, and I don't see how that changes enough to be a real cup competitor.

And then he goes and takes that double minor.

Wake up Rick ffs.
Bad read to try for that hit. But I saw one angle where it didn't look like Juulsen's stick hit him. It looked like it was his own stick.
I'm surprised you don't think it was Petterssons stick

Miller did not look good on the shorty or the ot winner. He looked good elsewhere in the game but he simply can't be so fucking relaxed in coverage. With so many other things going wrong, it really sucks we have the lazy Miller this year.

This “apparent” problem in the room doesn’t seem to be getting healed. The team is off. Hughes has been bringing it every game, every shift while “ some” of his mates are indifferent. I worry Quinn is gonna say “fuck it, why bother.” If Hughes starts to not caring, this team is fucked, he’s saving this club by himself. If there’s a problem, management cannot let it fester, deal with it, nip it, get rid of it and find guys who want to play for each other. Tocchet seems to be beside himself in press meetings.

If Quinn says "fuck it, why bother" then he is not the man or player we think he is and should not be wearing a C.

There are 3 types of people (in all walks of life (generally speaking)....your business, my business, Toppers, 5ths, UW's, politics et cetera)....

Quitters...quitters gonna quit

Campers...start taking the steps but only get to a certain level which begins to be to much work so they camp

Climbers...climbers gonna climb...and don't stop climbing

Nalsund...Quitter

Kesler...Camper

My perception of QH is that he's a Climber.

...and the climbing happens here.

While I agree with this in principle, one must recall that everyone is human.

I also agree that Hughes is a "climber".

Based on those two statements the worry I have is that if management doesn't do something about this situation then Quinn's "fuck it" likely looks like him continuing to carry and lead the team for another two seasons, after this one, and then continuing "his climb" with another team.

Regardless of the cause of this situation, if it is something that requires management to intervene in order for it to get sorted, and they fail to do that, then I wouldn't call anyone a quitter who decides to simply move on when his contract is up. Quitting would be requesting a trade or phoning it in at practice and games.....just my opinion.

It would be typical Canuck front office nonsense though. All but force your best player out of town by failing to deal with a situation.
