0.5 g/gm is not a rebound for an $11.6M player. It is a slump.
The stats don't really agree with this, there are more $11.6m+ forwards than there were 41+ goal scorers last year (10 vs 8).
And of those ten forwards just four of them are on track to score 41+ goals at this rate (all of whom make more than Petterson).
Yeah. That’s a good point…..I’ll have to look and see where he stacks up with them on PPG.

How dare you bring positive stats to the Petey bash thread.

If they happen to draft McKenna and don't trade Pettersson, who will have the scrawnier pipecleaners?
Well, McKenna is 2” shorter and already 5 lbs heavier than Scooter was when he was drafted. So I’d say draft day it’ll be a toss-up, but after a full summer of pro-prep training, by the time training camp rolls around McKenna will be the one hiring Petey to snake drain pipes.
McKenna will be fine, if he hits the gym to any degree like his cuz he will fill out nicely!

He's on the right track though. We need to boost his value, not trash it.
You're not getting a guy who put up 28g, 45a, 73p in 102 games the past couple of years hogging up 11.6 in cap space.
You're getting a player who put up 198g, 287a, 485p in only 509 games at a young 27 and making a minuscule 11.6 for the next 6 years with the cap going up.
Gotta push the latter to potential suitors.

Not nearly as well, and he is clearly (iirc) having the worst offensive season of anyone with his AAV or higher.
And his poor assist numbers can’t be hung entirely on his shit linemates, at $11.6m he should be able to carry them at least a bit better than he has.
But, I think the offensive standard for his salary isn’t actually quite as high as one might expect.

How many in that "AAV neighbourhood" play on the PK as well?
