LOL - the Oilers apparently were denied permission by the Golden Knights to speak to Bruce Cassidy about a head coaching position. This, while Knob is still employed as their head coach.

What a circus up there in Greaserville.

It's not unlike the circus in Vancouver.

How can they deny permission? They terminated Cassidy.

He's under contract.

They're still paying him.

Why...all is fair in love and war.

NHL coaches understand this can happen when they sign their big ticket deals.

Who knows what BS the Oil have pulled on the Knights previously?

Also...if it is a douche move then how is the Oil having Knoblauch under contract while reaching out to Cassidy not the same deal.

Business is business.

I think it’s a douche bag move by the Knights towards Cassidy. You axe your cup winning coach while still in playoff position and then deny a new job opportunity? Kinda sick move.

Not at all douche move towards Edmonton.

Asking to speak to another team’s coach while you still have your own coach? That’s a douche move unless they’ve already told Knoblauch that he’s done.

I’m inclined to agree with regards to the Oilers.. let’s see Vegas deny Cassidy permission to interview a team with an actual coaching vacancy before deeming them ruthless and uncivilized or whatever folks are saying.

Also. If I recall correctly this all originates with Frank Seravalli so it’s possible it’s just not accurate anyways.

To what dbr said.....

Also a super douche move to report all of this if it's actually just click-bait nonsense.

Considering Seravalli.....yeah, it's quite believable that it is nothing more than smoke and mirrors and that he's the only douche bag here.

Speaking of coaches - to no one's surprise, Berube is out.

Wonder if they'll hire Cassidy?

Poor Edmonton....

It would be hilarious if Vegas gave Cassidy permission to talk to the leaves after denying Edmonton the same

Speaking of Edmonton....I'm flying back from there currently.

Been a while, mostly I am in Calgary.

Not as bad as say Winnipeg but still a shit hole.

Actually, anything in Alberta that is north of Red Deer fits that description…..Jasper being the exception.
