"We came out of the gates with that. Because they wanted to check certain boxes, and we had to check them for them. That's the only way it gets done. We're not going to sneak one by them. They're smart."
Anyone else get a feeling that this quote is like Paul Maurice talking about the leaves?
Took the opening offer.
No inclusion if Quinn signs long term.
They're smart
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
You should see me after I get 4 fingers of the good stuff. Sometimes I wonder if that is what caused my medical issue or was it just being a Canuck fan.

Does the speed of the deal reflect the size of the "fuck you I want out now" from Hughes?
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

If I were running the Canucks and all things are as they are now I'd take Verhoeff and trade Hronek.
Draft high again in '27 and, if done right, start competing with Ducks Hawks Sharks Utah for the next decade.
I don’t know man, we’ve become too obsessed with the defence in this city, Buium and Willander set us up pretty good for the future, D-Pete will only get better with age. I like Hronek here. IMHO you don’t pass on either of McKenna, Stenberg or Lawrence. Three dynamic, elite skilled forwards like that don’t grow on trees. I’d use Minnesota’s first on a defenceman.
LW isn’t stacked. You are mistaking quantity for quality. DeBrusk is the best there is right now and Boston had him glued to the third line where he belongs. Garland and Boeser are the only top six wingers I’d want from those lists. Maybe Lekkerimaki or Ohgren develop into top six wingers? If McKenna is available they jump faster than Benning selecting Hughes. BPA no matter where they pick.
“Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the war room.”
- President Merkin Muffley
So how do we get “elite” talent at the forward position then? Nothing there in that regards. Cootes isn’t elite level. Pettersson is no longer that level. Cootes will be a solid 2nd line centre level quality but not elite level skill.

At the end of the day I’m picking McKenna ahead of Stenberg and Lawrence. He has the most potential to be a special player in the NHL. Our Bedard or Celebrini

My caution on taking a winger 1st overall.....Taylor Hall and Lafreniere.
If there is a RHD who projects like a fucking stud, you snag him, even if the winger is setting the world on fire in junior or college.
