Boser - 1G and 1A in last 5 games.

These 2 really need to pick it up.

That’s why Sugar Kane came back home.

Wednesday against the Sabres better start with 2-3 fights to drag the team up.

Need those ice cold fuckers to send it.

Who does Vancouver have in the room who would do that and come out with anything positive at the end? Kane has snarl, but that's it; he's a shadow of his former self. Myers is big, strong and has a reach but that's it. He's no enforcer and everybody knows it. Sherwood? He's game, but inspires fear in no one. He's an agitator. Some of the youngsters and Abby boys can try, but odds are all they would provoke is an eye-roll from Buffalo.

The guys care; you see the effort on the ice. They just have nobody who has shown they can give this team some back-bone. The best they can do is throw some glove-punches and watch Quinn try to do it all himself when he gets the puck.

They'll win because it's a game they should win. Odds are Raty will score a goal, Hughes will get a point or two, and a youngster will score that will give some fans faint hope that that player can make a difference down the road. It won't be an authoritative or convincing win, but it will be enough for coaches, players and management to say, "Compete is in our Nature" and not encounter outright laughter in addition to pity/disdain from the media class.

They lose to Buffalo?

Watch more fans tune out until the draft. The tank will be on, whether anybody in the organization will admit it to themselves or not.

Is it a tank, or the Canucks version of the Jamaican bobsled team? Bobsledding is fun to watch. Fast, and with horrific and stupefying crashes.

It's funny Lancer, because I have said this team needs a tough guy for a long time now. a good fight (win or lose) can change momentum in a game. Its a momentum tool (for a lack of a better phrase) that this team has not had for a long time. I am not talking about a 'deterrent' type player, I am talking about a physical player who can tilt. Goals, Extended Shifts, Big Hits, A Save, and a Fight, A PS5 Deke... thats what shifts momentum. I am simply pointing out we are missing a tool from that tool set.

Now, in regards to your comment, remember a few years ago when the team was in a crappy slump like this and Horvat fought first shift, JT fought second shift and some defenseman fought third shift? (Shenner or cole perhaps? - can't remember off the top of my head).. that's what we Thursday. Somebody has to show this team (win or lose) that apathy is not an option. I agree they played a great game against Detroit, and I agree that they should win the next one.. but remember when Garland fought that other smurf earlier??? the team was fired up. Then let Hoggy and Sherm and DOC smash the shit out of them for a couple shifts after that.

Gotta Set the tone.

We need the Jims.

[edit] - and the tank is on. It doesnt need any help. But what has to happen is a shit season (good pick) and NOT adopt a losing culture (See buffalo).... THAT will be the hard part

Explain the edit? Is there some news that I missed that dropped after you originally posted?

Woo finally healthy enough to be sent down to the AHL, give the baby Canucks a small boost.

Demko is looking to return on Thursday vs. Buffalo.

Petey is still day to day, will be re-evaluated tomorrow after practice.

Bit of a blow to the ol tank a thon. Was hoping they would be at the bottom long enough to fire Mgmt. Its got to be embarrassing for the Aquas. And we all know, they hate bad press.

Give it a period. Demko will pull something… somewhere… and be done for the season.

He’s dead to me anyway. I swear that guy’s medical issue is between the ears as much as anywhere.

Wake me when Medvedev arrives.

I'm hoping Tolopilo impresses us for awhile before that happens. Who knows, maybe Lankinen finds his game again before then too.
Lot's of goalies struggling this year. Hard for them to come back after injury with no practices due to the compressed schedule.
It's all about the lowered expectations

Yah, just tank it to the ground and flush this season down the crapper. My main thing, don't fire Foote Job no matter what. They picked him, let him finish the season and see how it plays out. For the love of god, plz plz, don't fire the coach mid-season and bring in a new guy like what they did with Coach B/Tocc. The 2023 C.Bedard draft. Still remember Coach B was doing us a solid by getting us close to the bottom of the standings, Tocc comes in and we started getting a bunch of meaningless wins, rocketed up the standings and ended up wtih a mid-round pick. :stupid: *DOH* :stupid:

This is pretty much my fear too and so on point for the way this team is managed.

It’s a solid top 5 to tank for, I’ll take any one of - McKenna, Stenberg, Verhoeff, Lawrence or Belchetz. Tank one year and refocus next. However, it could be a two season tank run and I’m ok with that knowing we got a good young core a brewin’, some beauties in the 2027 class as well

Have you seen the make up of this team? Of the organization?
8 forwards and 4 defensman and two goalies reside from Europe.

The team has but 4 Canadian regs. Kane will be gone in the coming months and Bains doesn’t even belong.

Honestly, if Quinn Hughes wasn’t on this team, wtf is there possibly to cheer for?
