Solid first period for Skinner this evening.
Just watched the highlights. You can put one of those on him.....the rest all on the skaters in front of him.
Same for the 4 that Pickard let in over the final 2 periods.
Edmonton's defense is a tire fire.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Skinner gets a shutout tonight. He reminds me of Cloutier. No consistency. A shutout one night, and beach balls the next night. I hope the Oilers resign him.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

Palmieri tears an ACL...makes it to the bench on his own and, for shits and giggles, grabs a takeaway and an apple on the way.
Hockey players are a different breed.
LeBron would have needed a gurney...

So... do the Fishsticks need a trade partner?
That's a big piece for them to lose for the season, especially since it's still early and teams are jockeying for playoff positions.

...I realize it doesn't work in the realm of your query but had to do it regardless....

He was carried off for cramps. A torn ACL and LeBron would have been scheduling emergency on-site MAID.

^ Some might even called it... Datsyukian.
Mëds, would you have dropped Lebron like he was Modano?

I’ll only say that Modano was dropped accidentally.

Where did
Jesper Wallstedt come from?
Four shutouts in six games? No bad for a rookie. Let's see how he does for a full season.
Drafting a goalie in the 1st round isn't always safe, but Minny might have something here.

Derek Stepan works in player development for the Wild and speaks extremely highly of this player.
The below might just have hampered his development a bit and kept him off the general fan radar...
Wallstedt suffered a more serious injury in 2024 when a puck hit him in the head, leading to a period where he was unable to speak. He eventually made a full recovery and returned to playing hockey.
