The amount of rumour-mongering going on in this tread is incredible.
I'd expect this from Brown Cherry or Fatass Serivelli. Or maybe some posters are these "media" hacks?!?
Something not discussed is how Miller reacted to the "younger" players fitness etc. He fucked around, and got shipped out. Like the Sean Avery's, Hoffman's or DeAngelo.
I wish he had the mental fortitude to deal properly with teammates he disagreed with, if he was a good teammate. Van wouldn't be in this situation.
Petey scored 100+ points being a lazy out of shape fucker. Just sayin'

What Allvin said to the seasons ticket holders is fact not rumour JPP.
Some of it (video) is available online if you look for it.
You perhaps make a fair point on Miller not being a "good teammate".
One could counter with maybe he was for 4/5 years and finally had enough.
Humans being fallible and all that.

Fact. I've always defended this guy because of that talent dwelling within. That scrawny, scooter riding, lazy, insolent little twatwaffle could pound pucks harder than almost every single fitness freak, generational talent, Gronk and gym rat in the entire NHL.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 6:19 pm

He smugly scooters across the Burrard bridge in his pea jacket and beanie listening to whiney sniveling millennial noise all the while the fact remains...he could be one of the best players in the league if the wind blows just right
Choosing that potential was the gamble and I probably would have as well.

Miller was clearly a very well respected warrior who deserved better from the team and his teammates. Tocchet has been overly complimentary of him throughout and backed it all up by walking over the way it went down. The line in the sand and all. He still comes out of this an honourable dude who can probably choose where he goes and when. That's a sweet way to leave on your own terms.donlever wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 6:50 pm What Allvin said to the seasons ticket holders is fact not rumour JPP.

Pettersson coming back and winning a cup the next year would sure be welcome coming out of all this

Yah, I would agree. I think partly Tocc may think he doesn't have the horses to be a legitimate contender here anymore, but more than anything, I think he has heart set elsewhere. My money is that he wants Phillie as he has a history there and be back on the east being close to family and stuff.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 4:56 pm I don’t believe it’s just the Petey/Miller situation that forced Tocchet’s decision.

I did watch it.
And he didn't say most of what is being rumored in this thread.
Most posters here give the local media shit for this level of crap. I'm just staying consistent with that.

Cuz likes his hockey players scrawny and his women resembling the real-life version of our beloved team’s mascot.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 7:08 pmFact. It's a pretty one sided read. I think there's plenty of blame to go around for this fiasco. But I'm unhinged and obtuse. All righty then.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 6:19 pm The amount of rumour-mongering going on in this tread is incredible.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
The apparent love affair the coach, the GM , the President, have/had with JT begs the question, why? Why would they punt JT having so much respect for him, he who signed a team friendly deal. He who left his heart on the ice every game.
They fucked up, plain and simple. What I hear in all of this is a failure to accept responsibility. Somehow their moaning about this follows a pattern of throwing someone under the bus as an excuse for their own failings. By praising JT and leaking more of their version of what happened they are crucifying Pettersson.
And if ownership vetoed a trade then Rutherford is the biggest hypocrite out there. When he took this job he was asked about what autonomy he had and he said total. He wouldn’t have it any other way and could not operate without it. If ownership really did interfere he should have pulled a Linden and walked away.
Everything these guys say smacks of self serving noise. They couldn’t foresee this problem for four years? They couldn’t trade Boeser because you wouldn’t believe what they were offered.
In my eyes, they have both directly and indirectly thrown so much shade on Pettersson that they could never getting a fair return on a trade now.

I put all this shit behind me as I’m not there and I don’t believe majority of what the media posts.
I will be in front of my tv to watch the opening game of the season like I do most years.
Canucks really need to sign Bennett in the off season.

It sounds like a few others are enraged and are done with this team.
