Considering the cast of characters we have here, I always figure the winkie is implied on each post. #SarcasticBastards

Yeah, I was surprised I had to bust it out.

Now we’re just randomly using it without purpose.

We need One-Oh-Three-Point-Two to unleash the power....the most powerful shot in the NHL.

All this from a mere willow wisp of a man.

It's like he's from another world!

We could pull Al Iafrate out of retirement.

He could crush 103.2 mph with the new sticks and he probably is a better skater still.

Big Al was 230 lbs.

DasyukGretzky was 130 when he rippered that one

So he used to be heavier then?

He's a special talent Mëds. YOU are going to have to come to grips with the fact that he is a stalled ELITE center

The sticks these days, I'm not sure an idiot like Iafrate would have had the wherewithal to figure out how to use them. Dumb as a post, that one. MacInnis... oy... I wonder what he could have done with a stick like Petey's. Ovechkin is just a Soviet experiment to create a real Ivan Drago, who just escaped the lab and became a hockey player.

Meh, I added at least 15mph to my muffin with these new tech fancy twigs. Just about any NHLer could probably hit at least high 80's or low 90's with these sticks and some mechanics tweaks.

Also... when are you ever going to get a chance to step into one like that from the blue line during a game to generate that kind of speed? Not even on an empty-netter. Can he even hit one during a game? Who cares? Just put it into the net. They all count.

Quit posting high, Cuz.

The PP setup the 2010-2012 team used on occasion with Salo. He'd setup on the LT side or middle point, and while the Sedins cycled down low Salo would quietly exit the zone and come back in from center ice with half a head of steam on the RT side and walk into a feed from Hank. Those were huge.

Didn't do it often though, and Salo was on record saying he was nervous to unload his biggest shot because he didn't want to hit a teammate in front of the net.

Didn't Salo break a teammate's leg from one of his slap shots? He unleashed it and one of the Canucks standing in front doing a screen got the full blast.
