Letter sushi was to be called up to replace an injured Brock if Vancouver got past Edmonton.

Chef worries about DeBrusks contract, has that potential to becoming a regrettable signing.

Considered to be maybe the best value signing of the whole free agent frenzy this year. Time to switch from sativa back to Indica my man. Youre probably twitching your curtains more than usual these days too.

Time to take a tolerable break and regenerate.

$5.5 million for 7 years, jabrone! This could end up Loui Eriksson bad but I’ll remain optimistic, for now

Wow, these guys rate Nucks as one of the faves for the Cup, ahead of the likes of TO, Dallas and Colorado. :P

My early thoughts

The new guys who will surprise or exceed expectations:

DeBrusk will have career years along side EP40

Desharnais will be very good (almost as effective as Z)

Sherwood will be a great addition to the 4th line and even spot into the top 6 here and there

The new guys who will leave a little to be desired:

Forbort will staaaank

Heinen will only be average if he sticks with Boeser and Miller, much better if he's dropped down the lineup

Lankanen having missed camp will struggle while Silovs continues to be the horse. (Sure hope they fix that distance shot problem)

Vets who come back and up their game:

EP40 shuts up the Nellies (I'm one)

Hronek takes another development step forward. Remember, he is still fairly young. I have high hopes for hime especially if he isn't paired with QH funnily enough. There alot more there to give

Vets who have plateaued or don't improve on last year:

Hoglander. I see him as a trade chip now. Has fight but lacks hockey sense

Boeser. I can't see them dumping a wad on him and eventually letting him walk. It sucks but sometimes renting him for a run then walking away is the prudent move

Quinn Hughes. I love his game but to expect better numbers out of him is a bit of a pipe dream imo. I could see a small step back for this season but much better prepared for success next spring

Demko. Can't see him improving with his health issues.

I expect a 100 point season with us taking 2nd in the division then throttling the whining fucking coilers in the conference finals

I hope your right about EP40 (i'm one of the Nellies too)
Sprong will have a great season here playing Tocchey Hockey
Debrusk and Hoglander can produce a bit even if Eleven Pointsixerrson continues to flail
The goalie situation should take care of itself with 3 capable netminders available
We'll burn that bridge when we get to it

I know it's early but how do people see the lines shaping up? Maybe not opening night but once healthy as a few guys sound like they may miss the first week or so:

Heinan Miller Boeser
Debrusk Pettersson Garland/Hogs/Sprong
Joshua Suter/Blueger Garland/Hogs/Sprong
Sherwood Suter/Blueger Garland/Hogs/Sprong

I havn't seen enough of these guys to argue to hard for the positions I've put them in here.. just laying down some thoughts.
I know it will be popular to put Garland with Joshua again but I'd love to see him get time on the 2nd line and have Hogz in the bottom 6. Guess it depends on how Sprong does.
Doesn't really feel like there's room for anyone to make the team who wasn't already penciled in, unless someone pushes Sprong out.. he's the media darling but I'm not sure his D play will work long term with Tocc. Seems too similar to Kuzmenko and we know how that went by mid-season.

Aman as the 13th for center depth?

Hughes Hronek
Soucy Myers
Forbort Desharnais

Maybe switch up Myers and Desharnais to better balance the bottom 2 lines, but man I can see an early season trade to push one of our bottom 2 in to the 7th man position. As has been mentioned a few times throughout summer, that 3rd pair isn't good.

Ricky spoke post practice yesturday, your 1st line is correct
2nd line, Cohog forces Debrusk to his off wing (he can play it), Sherwood was mentioned, Sushi an outside possibility. Sprong mentioned with a lot of caveats about his game without the puck. He also mentioned Scooter needs to start driving the play.

Raty may usurp Aman.

I wonder if Bluger is a go, does Raty get 4C with Suter to the wing until HalfSack is back?

Hughes Juuls
Hronek Meyers
Soucy Deharnais/Friedland

I’m hoping Debrusk finds another gear in his arsenal of gears with a new home here, fingers crossed. Chef just gets the shivers thinking ‘what if he doesn’t find another gear.’???
