Olympics, Paris, 2024

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Betcha if a Cape Bretoner had speedbagged him during the prelims his pole woulda gone limp.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Crazy.

I had hopes for the 4x team to medal initially but when DeGrasse struggled in the 1 & 2 I thought they were cooked.

But he said he'd be good in the straightaway (no curves like the 200) and without the block start (100) and he was true to his word.

Dude ran a helluva last leg.....

Watched the race a few times... the whole team was incredibly smoove but for sure, seeing Andre DeGrassi High-step and accelerate to the finish line was amazing.

I haven't been watching too much of the Olympics, but that WAS a great race - thanks for the heads up on that one.

I bet the two THICC chicks from the NZ synchronized diving team recognized Cuz from their 3-way all those years ago.

Unfortunately, the whaler sisters didn't podium as the goal is to make as little splash as possible on the entry.

After winning a Country record (non-boycott Games) of 24 total in Tokyo many pundits had Canada maxing put around 20 medals in 2024.

With today's gold on the river we now have records for most golds and most medals at 8 and 25 (1984 in LA we had 10 and 44 when Eastern Bloc countries were cast aside).

Pretty good showing.
