Brown is about to go too. Leaves wil have 17 million in cap.
Source? Who wants a small 25 year old winger who can't kill penalties, isn't a defensive specialist and whose offensive skills are declining? He's one season away from being a permanent AHLer.
You'll still need 5 players to fill out that roster if the Leaves don't offer Ceci a contract, which is possible since he has arbitration rights. Considering how much of a hole Marner is going to blow in that $17 mil in cap space if they can dump the contracts you say they are dumping, what kind of players will you get for the other 4 the Leaves need?
Looking at Capfriendly, that current defence looks as scabby if not scabbier than Vancouver's. You thinking of ever winning a first round playoffs or even making the playoffs with that bunch?

"declining". LOL. He's 25. He's a very solid bottom 6 forward with fantastic speed. Please spare me he can't be easily moved.
The leaves have until 2023-24 until Matthews bids adieu to Toronto. Just around the corner, meanwhile they keep giving away 1st round picks and prospects to win now. Pressure is on Dubas bigly time.
Sources close to star RFA Mitch Marner’s camp have told me that he is prepared to sign an offer sheet from the Colorado Avalanche in the 13M AAV range for 5 years. #NHLFreeAgency #TMLTalk

Dang, if Leaves take the picks, they'll never get higher than a 20th from Colorado, they will be absolute beasts.
Holy Fuck! The rich get richer. If there’s ANY team that can eat that cap hit and afford to cough up the picks, it’s the Avs. Team is already stacked with a deep pipeline

That Toronto media just hates the leaves.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Fake news.
Well that kinda sucks. That would make the Avs a powerhouse and kill the leaves too.

LOL indeed. The Canucks did not qualify an identical player in Markus Granlund. Any team could sign Granlund UFA for half of what Brown costs and wouldn't have to give up an asset. Players like Granlund and Brown are a dime a dozen. Brown is garbage. So you do what you do best, which is always over rating your garbage.
Or maybe TO coughs their 2020 second rounder to any team who will take Brown.

The OTT-TOR trade that will send Nikita Zaitsev and Connor Brown to the Sens for Cody Ceci should be consummated tomorrow morning once TOR pays Zaitsev’s $3M signing bonus. At least six pieces (players or picks) included but the primaries are Zaitsev, Brown and Ceci.Bob McKenzie added,
