You'll still need 5 players to fill out that roster if the Leaves don't offer Ceci a contract, which is possible since he has arbitration rights. Considering how much of a hole Marner is going to blow in that $17 mil in cap space if they can dump the contracts you say they are dumping, what kind of players will you get for the other 4 the Leaves need?

Looking at Capfriendly, that current defence looks as scabby if not scabbier than Vancouver's. You thinking of ever winning a first round playoffs or even making the playoffs with that bunch?

LOL indeed. The Canucks did not qualify an identical player in Markus Granlund. Any team could sign Granlund UFA for half of what Brown costs and wouldn't have to give up an asset. Players like Granlund and Brown are a dime a dozen. Brown is garbage. So you do what you do best, which is always over rating your garbage.

Or maybe TO coughs their 2020 second rounder to any team who will take Brown.
