Re: GDT: Canucks host Kings Mar 26/2026 @ 7 PM PST SNP

Curious that this is the second straight game for Mancini to sit in favour of Joseph. Why? Are we trying to see if Joseph is someone we want to re-sign? Are we sitting Mancini so he can learn? We just re-signed him to a 2 year deal and these games are perfect form to keep growing in the NHL. The ...

Re: 2025-26: OOTS Thread

It seems it works that way for certain youngsters who have run out of waivers. Podkolzin, Silovs. Who is next. It getting virtually nothing back or in signing other players that just dont work out. Now neither Silovs or Podkolzin would have saved our season but its the giving up on them. Add in ...

Re: GDT: Canucks host Ducks Mar 24/2026 @ 7 PM PST SNP

Regarding Kane: Just get him to 1000 games and give him his ceremony. After that, don’t name him in the line ups unless there are a lot of injuries. While I don’t think the acquisition has worked out for both player and team, I think it would be a dick move by the organization not to give him his 10 ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Obviously if we can lock them both up long term the better for us. But as Topper says why would the kids want to give away those FA years when the cap will be so high? Smart money is a Luke Hughes type of deal, 8 years at 9 million. But I can see Buium wanting a shorter 3-5 year deal at 8-9 million ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Today's word, get Buium signed to an extension in the off season. Chatter has begun about the Canucks off season business and one of the priorities is to get the young DMan extended to an 8 year deal. They can do so up until mid Sept when the new CBA rules kick in. After that the max he can get is ...

Re: GDT: Canucks host Ducks Mar 24/2026 @ 7 PM PST SNP

I just don't get why we are dressing Kane over anyone who may be on this team next season. Now I don't think Kane has been terrible for us this season and there are no indications he has been a distraction or bad in the locker room. His reputation didn't follow him here. So that is not why I am ...

Admittedly, I haven’t watched a game in months, but if Mancini is the best piece to come back in the Miller deal, baldies got bent over.
Well we did get DOC and M Patterson.

Re: The Petey Predicament

Cutter and Leo due for hefty raises. Mint and Zellweger to a lesser degree. I could see them re-signing Gudas, Trouba at 32 is having a bit of a resurgence. I could see Pettersson agreeing to waive to Cali, and they could use another vet up front. MM’s ice time has been on the decline for several m ...

Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas

With Mancini just signing a 2 year extension I think he is a keeper for now. A cheap 2 year contract. I like his play. He is still learning and next year he will get the whole season in Vancouver. I would be reluctant to trade him right now.

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Agreed. Seems really mature. Speaks really highly of Hronek and his leadership and communication and wanting to mirror that in his career. I dare say (depending on the draft as well of course) when we look at Buium, Ohgren, Rossi and pick in 2/3 years the trade may be regarded by Canuck fans as ...
