Non-Hockey 2026 Olympic thread

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Non-Hockey 2026 Olympic thread

Post by Cornuck »

Since the Olympics (allegedly) have other sports, we might as well get a thread going.

Some sports started today - with the opening ceremony tomorrow.

Canada's off to a rough start:
Canada's three-time Olympic bronze medal snowboarder Mark McMorris crashed Wednesday night during big air training for the Milan Cortina Games and had to be taken off the course on a stretcher.
🍁 Does anyone have a list of medal hopefuls or people to watch 🍁

Canada's mixed curling pair won their first outing today.

In in an airplane somewhere above our Saskatchewan crew but there are lists out there I might locate and post tomorrow.

Speed skating (short and long), curling (mixed, men and women, hockey (men and women), freestyle skiing, bobsleigh, & ski jumping are events we have solid medal opportunities in.
DeLevering since 1999.
