L-GDT: Canucks host knights - Apr 6, 7pm - SNP

Post by Cornuck »

Both teams coming off of games yesterday. We're the obvious underdogs with our AHL lineup, but then this team is full of surprises (good and bad).

Likely a similar lineup(?), with Lankenin stating.

We've lost the previous 2 meetings 3-1 each time. Time to turn the tables and get the unneeded points and move ourselves down the draft!.

Go team

Vegas still with positioning to play for and clearly a better team.

Luckily they held on to win last night after giving up a 2-0 lead or it would have been tougher sledding.

Hey.

Wait.

I've got a new complaint.

Outside of rats "I can not hope for a loss" issues we do actually want to see some L's as the season dies down no?

Well...you could have said 4-3.

That would have been a comment.

So it was written and so it shall be.

But yeah, wins don't help the franchise at all right now. We don't have any fresh kids who need to learn the 'winning mentality' - but with that said, while the game's on, I'll be cheering for the W.

A spot higher or lower in the standings leading to marginally different odds in the lottery, and even then moving up a spot only makes a difference if the team we leapfrog would have taken our preferred player. It hardly matters.

So, Go Canucks!!!

That's my priceless advice.

Maybe...what about the theory of a trade being on the table on Draft Day (for a T6 centre let's pretend) and your pick being tied to a certain player the other team wants but he gets selected ahead of you because you happened to beat Vegas twice in mean nothing games.....

Our preferred player. Another team's preferred player. Same diff.
Yeah, theres always a chance the Vegas game will be meaningful but what are the odds? Not enough for me to care.

True, but I find optimising to the nth degree to be tiring. At my age I find there's more important things to care about.
