Just seat warmers, until they come back - no way we could fill that spandex or that lawn.

“I told him, whatever communication, I’m not going to ask him or put an expectation on him to be something other than that he isn’t, and that that’s okay, and that he and I can work together in any capacity. We may ask things of him, but we’re not going to ask him to do it outside of really who he feels the core of what he is." - RyJo on talking to Scooter

There are 11,600,000 million things to demand of Scooter every season.

Only one demand matters to me, to waive his NMC in the next 4 weeks

Good to see that the team is already creating 'safe spaces' for the players.

That is what I took from it.

"Tell us what the demanding vet locker room bully said to you?"

There's 11.6 million reasons he should carry the team but he's obviously not going to respond to pushes toward that role. Maybe pushing him ends up killing whatever residual value he does have. He's salvage at this point so why keep hammering away?

Maybe a low-key way to rejuvenate Petey’s offence so the boy can pad some stats - wins be damned - to pump-and-dump the Dickless Fuck. If he nets an unprotected 1st and a prospect as a result, I could live with it.

I like that plan.

Chiclets doubt he'll be in Vancouver next season. Point to Carolina or Detroit (because they have lots of Swedes - LOL).

Chiclets haven't given up on Scooter.

I think Minnesota, Detroit, and Carolina, would be the front runners for Scooter.

Detroit and Minnesota are an intriguing 3-team deal with a few options (1 I posted in another thread).

I'm not sure what Carolina sends our way besides picks and Kotkaniemi to clear cap .

Option 1

To Detroit: Demko + EP40 + Faber - $24.6M
To Minnesota: Larkin + Willander + Dallas 2027 2nd RP + $3M of cap retention on Demko - $12.2M
To Vancouver: Seider or Edvinsson + Gibson + Detroit's 2027 1st RP + 2nd RP in 2028 + $1.5M of cap retention on Demko - $16.4M (assuming Edvinsson gets the same as Seider).

Option 2: This option hinges on Hughes not wanting to extend in Minnesota and Guerin having to cut bait, it also would depend upon Larkin wanting to play with Hughes in Detroit.

To DET: Demko + Hughes - $22M (assuming $13.5M extension for Hughes)
To MIN: Pettersson + Willander + DET 2nd 2028 - $11.5M
To VAN: DET 1st 2027 + Edvinsson or Seider + Gibson - $15.9M (assuming $8.5M extension for Edvinsson)

Isn’t LA the obvious landing spot?

His wife has ties there and is an influencer.

He once used to aspire to having a brand and I dare say his scooter riding ways would be more acceptable than in sneering Raintown.

They need a star center after Kopitar and are not rebuilding.

They have a 17th OA to play but maybe taking their 2027 or 2028 would be juicier.

For the sake of hockey, I also want EP40 to get his game back and it’s possible that he is never going to get over whatever happened to him in Vancouver
