The funny thing is I’m dead centre between the Benning Bros and the Benning bashers. And I was quickly given the hook as Doyle Hargraves on that site by the bashers. I might add I get swarmed on this site by the Benning bros pretty regularly. Nobody seems to appreciate anyone standing on the middle ground.

You misinterpret. I don’t love Tkachuk. I hate the Calgary Flames with a passion. I’m just pissed that the Canucks didn’t draft him. It was a terrible and indefensible mistake. Always BPA is especially when you are drafting that high.

I’m sure if Benning had a few beers under his belt he’d admit it was a terrible pick that he’d like to have back. Oh well the silver lining is I guess we aren’t having two high profile RFA to sign this summer.

Tkafuck will get a pile of money this summer and by next summer he'll be 260lbs.

It’s ignorant hyperbole with the benefit of hindsight. The team needs dmen, there’s your defense for the pick, thus not indefensible. Call it a bad pick fine, but leave the hyperbole out of it.

Be pissed they didn’t draft mcavoy, that’s the one I’m pissed about, especially with the need for rhd. They were taking a dman early and rightfully so, the options were joulevi, sergachev, mcavoy, they got the second best one (sergachev is gonna be eclipsed by joulevi soon) but if we’re going by hindsight mcavoy was the guy to take.
