EP40 has the hands and can deke like Datsyuk, pass like Hank and shoot like Nasi. :D

The only issue is that he has the bambi legs and doesn't have the lower body leg strength like Kaprizov, so he gets knocked on his ass a lot. Prob the reason why he complains about tendinitis. :(
Genetics are a bitch.
This is another area where the Canucks training staff has (despite rigorous defence from our board insider) failed to impress me: the development of individualized programs to help players address specific weaknesses. Bambi legs are treatable with exercises that you might normally avoid for typical hockey players because they would tend to offer a poor trade-off on speed or endurance (or something else related to hockey performance), but Pettersson is clearly exceptional in almost every regard, including his training needs.

Or he has previously ignored the trainers, which of course would not be their fault. It has been reported that he put on some muscle in the off-season. Let's hope it was well-placed.

I've heard that the 8 of the 13 pounds he added were on the inside of his knees.....

The kids a good player, came out of nowhere. Watch out for Anaheim in a couple years. Colangelo another good find. Sennekke is showing well in preseason, the Ducks definitely got the better player in Gauthier vs Drysdale. McTavish locked in, Leo Carlsson, Zellewegger, if McQueen continues from where he left off prior to last years injury, look out. They are surrounding the kids with decent vets as well. Could be a surprise team this year, IMO. Even playoff bound.

Ducks, Sharks, Blackhawks, Mammoth, Blues and the Kraken are the teams of the future in the west. Canucks as usual taking up position in the mushy middle. Who doesn’t love the tease and strains of your team being focused on being middle of the pack.

Very negative, let’s try to go into the season with an open mind ;)

Sportsnet top 50.

Subjective yes.

Straight from a barrel of monkeys perhaps.

Some of it highly debatable.

No EP40.

No JT Miller.

Lane Hutson is criminally underrated on every ranking I have seen.

Heard some ex player types stating that they believe he will be in Makar/Hughes territory in the next 2 years.

It would prob be a good place for him, Sin City. He'll be pretty much anonymous there and he can go out and seek out all the wild sexual activities that he wants. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. :P

Not much happening in Vegas these days comparably speaking.

More likely a good choice due to veteran, in the room leadership, solid # 1 netminder in place so no undue pressure and a strong management/ownership presence.

I liked seeing Celebrini on the list, such a solid all around game, your classic 1st line centre/captain who reminds me of something between Patrice Bergeron and Sidney Crosby, csn play in all situations. Agree about Bedard not being on the list, until he decides to pull himself out of Trevor Zegras land he will never make the list. Elias Pettersson doesn’t deserve to be on the list after what we’ve seen of him the last season and a half. Hutson might be the biggest omission for sure

Hutson is there.

He's # 50.
