I hate how misinformed and/or (blindly) ignorant our population is on this industry. As much as an announcement like that locks in a vote from people like us, you have fools on the other end for whom this nails their vote against because they think we can dismantle that sector and replace the missing money in provincial coffers with tariffs, magic wands, and a printing press.


If the NDP gets in again we can expect to see them walk back every campaign and platform promise that they stole from the Conservatives and dig us even further into debt.

The resource industries are being killed by the NDP. Over regulation and prolonged permitting are killing them. It can take over 18 months to get simple exploration permit that the government had promised a 60 day turn around. It used to be 30 days

Eby just promised 90% of British Columbians a $1000 tax deduction. The government is running a record deficit meaning they will have to borrow to make up the revenue lost in that tax deduction and as well as pay interest on those bonds. All that money comes out of future tax revenues.

He is charging British Columbians while trying to make them think they are getting a free handout.

Not to mention that, just as the endless COVID handouts, if you give everyone something, you haven't given anyone anything.

This is worse than the last Provincial election when Horgan handed out $500 cheques to everyone.

Lets not forget that Eby inherited a budget surplus when he took over from Horgan. Did he pay down the debt or did he spend it on his Pivot Legal Society/Downtown East Side pet projects?

I know fuck all about provincial politics Blob, and don't even know if I'll vote.

My main issues have always been environmental protection and financial restraint, in no particular order. What's the best choice here?
