US Erection 12 *AND* 16 *AND* 20 *AND* 22 *AND* 24 *AND* Beyond

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Don't know why Trump fears a free press.

You can lay the whole scheme bare, and the overwhelming majority of voters will ignore it, and ignore any effort to bring it to their attention.

Reminds me just a bit too much like a Taylor Sheridan story line from Lioness. A bit too accurate.

Not sure where to put this, but yeah…

When Trump recently called Norway a shithouse country (for not awarding him a peace prize  ), this is what Visit Norway did:

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

This is, ironically, a very poignant interpretation of what just happened.

I'd hate to be the Democrats, especially in 2 years if they gain the presidency. They always seem to get the shit end of the stick to clean up the Republicans' mess. If we're being fair, they owe Iran a ton of reparations for their unprovoked attack.

The AI bubble has already burst in China, so it won't be long before it bursts in the USA as well.

Um, seriously? Iran has been exporting jihad to the USA and the world since 1978. They have never stopped provoking. I guess we see geo politics differently, 5th.

Not disagreeing that they are a state sponsor of terrorism, but it's an incredibly disproportionate response. And thus self-defeating. Overall a massive backwards step.

It is human nature, it seems, to stack up in the "good" or "not so bad" columns all the things that people taking the opposition position say are "bad." I think that's unfortunate. It is possible to agree with hawks that Iran (1) is the largest state sponsor of terrorism, and (2) their possession of a nuke poses extreme risks to the security of the region and still think, you know, maybe that war won't be effective at achieving its aim, or will create similar risks but while imposing tangible immediate costs. It is possible to think that Israeli treatment of the Palestinians is extreme without thinking the Palestinians (or God forbid, Hamas) are particularly noble. It is possible to believe that we should have robust free speech protections without denying that there is a harm (as intangible as it may be) to offending individuals or social morays.

Its all tradeoffs, few decisions/actions/policies are without a downside felt somewhere by someone.
