Do the Canucks need sign anyone else before the season starts?
We can ice a team right now if needed, but is there anything missing?
I'm assuming management has signed the 'character' guys they were targeting.
Do we sign some PTOs to get a couple of bodies to help with scoring? Do we even want help there?
Should they plan for the inevitable injuries (Chytil, Demko) or address that by promoting kids?
As long as the injury list doesn't get too out of control, I'd hope that we don't see any more signings and just consider it a lottery year.

Probably should but I don’t think for increased scoring which leans to increased wins which leads to decreased draft position… protection of the kids might be more a thought…
The odd goals here and there ok ..

I'm thinking Evander Kane will help us lose games. Horrible team guy, lazy on the backcheck, no physicality, no scoring, bad in the room. He's prpbably good for five losses himself.

You want a few potential goals for cheap Eeli Tolvanen is still out there.
He's a solid minus player too.
Logan Stanley?

They all have headstones.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Sekeres and Price pointed out the other day that the team should be looking at guys that are 26 or younger and might have an outside chance to pull a Kiefer Sherwood given increased offensive opportunity on a shitty team.....then flip those guys for a 4th round pick at the TDL. You don't gift them spots over young players that will benefit from NHL minutes, but you are essentially buying extra darts for the draft board for nothing but the owner's money.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Tolvanen and Stanley as Donny mentioned. Maybe Tyson Jost as your 4c.
And that's about it.
And that's about it.

No veteran presence value there so might as well just promote prospects.

I disagree...there is value there imho.
Size and plug and play experience in Stanley and some skill and a few goals from Tolvanen.
Tolvanen is also right shot and relatively physical for his size.
Rather than me go on and on..
Tolvanen played in 78 games with Seattle last season and had a quiet year offensively with just 12 goals. However, he was able to record 24 assists, one shy of his career high, allowing him to surpass the 30-point mark for the fourth straight year.
The 27-year-old is only a year removed from a 23-goal season and is averaging 211 hits per year over the last three seasons. While Tolvanen is a little undersized, his profile should still appeal to teams.
Combines his skating mobility with a heavy shot and physical engagement along the boards rather than relying purely on rush speed.
He could plausibly fit in as a third liner on several teams and have enough offensive upside to hold his own on a second line when called upon as well.
I thought the idea was to let the kids marinate on the cultivation plant and not just throw them to the dogs?

Good point aboout letting the kids ripen in Abby Donny.
Rather than pluck one of these guys, I like the idea of "helping" Pat Verbeek out of his cap problem in Anaheim by taking Killorn (one year at 6.250) or Kreider (one year at 6.500) off his hands for a (steep) price. The Ducks cupboards are loaded with acquired draft picks.
