Cootes with 50 points in 37 games on 2 different WHL teams. Just turned 19 a couple weeks ago.

Things are looking good for him.

He definitely needs a couple more years and playing against men will be better for him. He’ll get good minutes and even better more training time in the NCAA than the WHL or AHL.

Plus some schooling!

...dude is a walking injury waiting to happen.

A frail Swede in the AHL with limited in lineup deterrent.

Shocking.

The season’s theme continues…. almost like it was ordained by the Hockey Gods.
Love the Sport. Love the Team.

Hate the League.

I believe Doc to be kicking ass and taking names in the next realm.

The God's don't know what to make of him & have no defense so we are being bitch slapped as punishment.

War Pigs.

Hit the little guys.

Doc will have that shit sorted out by next year and we'll be good.

Unless a draftee has upper echelon talent and physical maturity, it makes sense for most kids to take advantage of the new NCAA rule changes and spend at least a year in college.

The benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.

Great, good to hear. Our seventh-round pick from last year is there and is having a surprisingly decent year, stats-wise.

For sure!

It’ll be a far better place to develop than as an overager in the CHL.

We’ll see a lot more late bloomers coming from the NCAA.
