TV Shows: What are you watching?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Task on HBO starring Mark Ruffalo is good. 3 episodes released, new episodes come out on Sunday. Looking forward to dig into Black Rabbit. A new season of Slow Horses starts this week.

I've picked up on House of Cards.

I'm really not sure about it yet.

Watched the 2 Yellowstone prequels (no Costner) which got my juices flowing to check out the original series.

So I did.

Yeah, I was wrong.

Sweet show.

Kelly Reilly was fucking great.

The original BBC House of Cards mini serieses were great, especially the first two. It was dark humor.

The Nextflix reboot is just dark. There's a place for that, and I thought it was clever, dramatic and engrossing the first season and parts of the next two. But it just felt like they ran out of runway, and their response was to up the ante or make the characters even more despicable. And to me, this resulted more eye rolls instead of adding to the drama.

I like the way Spacey engages with the viewer throughout.

Cute little twist.

I also like the way Robin Wright plays her role.

I can see the Mara chick being a problem in that triumvirate (sic).

The rest, well yeah, I can see it devolving into what you suggest.

I think I am on episode 6 or 7 season 1 so we will see how far I get.

Enjoying Task, so far.

Black Rabbit was good, but one of those shows where people make too many dumbass choices.

Caught the first episode of Pluribus last night on Apple, this is really, really good. From the creators of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, but totally not what you’d expect from these guys.

Also, caught the first three episodes of Down Cemetary Road on Apple from the Creators and writer of Slow Horses. This is also really good.

Apple TV definitely produces quality stuff.

I haven't watched any Apple TV originals that I have disliked because the quality has been poor. They definitely focus on quality over quantity when compared to Netflix and Prime.

I started putting on Navy Seals in the background a couple of weeks ago.....I surprised myself with this one, for a network show it's actually not bad.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..
