Are you not going to be in Timbuktu or some such place regardless?

I would think @ this point, he has zero bargaining power as all NHL teams are willing to start the season without him. He might have to take close to league minimum to prove himself and get his value up. Kinda like what Lankinen did last season. Offer him a 1 yr deal @ 800k.

Snoozer, the magic number is about 1.25m … I think that’s what can be shoved into Abby without affecting the cap if he goes downTodd Bersnoozi wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 10:27 pmI would think @ this point, he has zero bargaining power as all NHL teams are willing to start the season without him. [edit] … I think I shall give this proceedure the sexy name of ‘Abby Max’ contract.
The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.

Sounds like Mancini has already been recalled from the A.

Somehow P.O. Joseph got hurt and is now on IR. Truth be told, I never understood that signing with the youth movement coming up.

Because you don’t put waiver exempt youth in the press box for long. So you don’t keep them around as a #7 to spell occasionally when a guy on a road trip (or when Abby is on one) has a cold or has a tweak and needs an unplanned recovery day. You call up youth when they are gonna play.
Funny, the Canucks have 2 non-prospect tweeners who can pass as a #7, Joseph and Breezeby. Both hurt. Next in line past the prospect stage is Woo. Hurt. After that? Schultd? He wasn’t good enough to stick on one of the worst nhl defenses of all time in San Jose….

That makes sense - especially given coaching and management’s hard-on for Forbort. IMO, he should be the 7th defenceman.UWSaint wrote: ↑Tue Oct 07, 2025 2:06 pmBecause you don’t put waiver exempt youth in the press box for long.
