When unfailingly polite right of center campus speakers get assassinated, who replaces them?

“Irreplaceable”…
Listen I don’t condone what happened to Charlie Kirk, it was reprehensible. He had a young family (wife and two kids ) it was disgusting just like the 50,000 murdered Palestinians over the last 2 years - reprehensible , but c’mon - “irreplaceable”? lol, yeah, no. To you and your politics, maybe…not mine. But is he replaceable to his 2 children? No, he isn’t, and there lies the real tragedy, not the politics he represents, his politics IMO is fascist shite for privileged white fear America.

It's when they don't know the definition of the words.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!
Re: Another one bites the dust
Rats, I love you took my question as an invitation to think of Kirk’s unique talents — and I think he was unique in that space because he wasn’t “dunking”, he wasn’t provoking, he was unfailingly courteous and showed that courtesy to oversocialized undereducated college kids and smart asses alike.
But I was thinking of a much darker answer, and Dude supplies the why. If the left thinks Kirk was a fascist, then anyone on the right is a fascist. And if the decent ones whose “weapon” is civil discourse are assassinated for their “fascism,” then I fear they will get replaced by the real deal.
We are seeing it in other arenas, like race and sex/gender. It’s not good.
Surely radicalized individuals are responsible for what they do, but why would their political opponents want to contribute to creating more and more of the thing they claim to despise? Is it Intellectual dishonesty? Stupidity? All around bankruptcy? Useful idiocy, propagandized lemmings? Or is it a strategic choice to catalyze anarchic disorder — the revolutionary arts.

RIP Charlie Kirk. I didn't know him at all, but he has left behind a very young family. How sad. As to the boiling social climate down there, it's almost like two completely separate species of human beings have emerged: the traditional one and a new one that seems completely alien to me. It's like a social engineering experiment gone horribly wrong. I sense a zombie apocalypse looming on the horizon. One can envision the new species literally eating the old one alive.
However, if this does start to get out of hand, might it affect Trump's plans to start wars in Venezuela, Iran, and potentially even Taiwan?
There could be a silver lining in all this for the rest of humanity.

If that is what passes for 'decent' these days, we're doomed.UWSaint wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 8:13 pm But I was thinking of a much darker answer, and Dude supplies the why. I was no fan of his, but after scrolling through his 'X' feed last night, I saw nothing constructive from him. I saw a lot of hate and division. No solutions, just fear mongering. Fascist? No. Just another extreme personality looking for clicks.
But I do agree with you that whatever replaces him will not be a kinder, more thoughtful, productive version.
The hateful rhetoric started long ago and now has a megaphone in the white house. Those in the media feel they have to up their game to stay in the game. It's sickening, to be honest.

Yup, but the right are blinded by their hate and the divisiveness they have created, it’s everybody else’s fault but theirs.Cornuck wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 5:54 amIf that is what passes for 'decent' these days, we're doomed.UWSaint wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 8:13 pm But I was thinking of a much darker answer, and Dude supplies the why. I love how the raging righty tighty whities and their Norman Rockwell dreams of America come and gone have conveniently forgotten who lunatic Vance Boelter is, remember? He murdered Melissa Hortman and her husband and shot Senator Hoffman and his wife.
I suggest for some of the folk here to YouTube or google some of the shit flying out of Kirk’s mouth, his death was sad and unecessary but he was a fucking ass, or his his politics I should say were.
