The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Who the fuck cares who’s good for America. Are you American? It’s who is good for Canada. Is that so hard to understand? Now tell me who is good for Canada? Trump or Harris?
Well Harris is a complete imbecile, so she's not good for anything. So Trump isn't good for Canada either in the short term, but I agree with Doc, we will be better off and stronger in the future. Anyway, you completely missed the point of my post. But that's pretty much par for the course for you.
We will, eh?
Pretty fucking big assumption, but we understand, it’s your narrative. You, a Canadian, simply cannot admit you were wrong in supporting Trump.
Harris is good for Canada, not Trump. That is clear.

Bad neighbors, according to the US President, Hockey Canada in decline. Dollar is dropping, it seems to be endless. Is it time to get out? Is the golden era of Canada over?

Huh???
Harris wants to drive the world into a wierd LGBTQDEI2S+ nightmare. Trump wants to make the USA feared again. How would Harris have been good for Canada?

It may be clear in your delusional mind, but that's about it. I was not wrong supporting Trump over Harris - period! Trump isn't great, but when you consider the alternative.... What you can't admit is that your support of left wing policies is moronic.

Anyone who didn't vote for trump must be disgusting and moronic?
Anyone that voted for Harris and her left wing agenda, is disgusting and moronic. Unfortunately, the only other choice was Trump and he is only slightly better than Harris. Americans really were between a rock and a hard spot in the last election - a choice between two horrible candidates.

Pick your poison, BCE
If Country (Canada) comes first, support Kamala
If taking out LGBTQ comes first, support Trump
I'm not American, so I can't support either. I still wouldn't support Kamala Harris - as I said, she is a total imbecile and would not be good for Canada either. With Harris and the US lefties, it would take longer to ruin Canada, but make no mistake, she would ruin it eventually. Trump is making us act NOW. So, that's one good thing coming out of all of this.
Let's talk about the real issue for Canadians - who to support - the liberals or the conservatives. We have what we have and now and it is up to us to deal with it. I don't trust the liberals as they are responsible for our lack of infrastructure to get our resources to other markets besides the USA.

Expat and Dude are perfect examples of the problem with politics today. Everybody is too extreme and unable to recognise that other viewpoints exist and could be legitimate.
Kamala is certainly no imbecile. You can't rise to positions of responsibility that she has without being at least somewhat good at what you do. And DEI, yeah maybe a pullback is warranted but now the pendulum is swinging too far with companies being threatened with prosecution just for having a DEI policy.
And there are legitimate reasons people voted for Trump, and I'm not talking about the Deep State or some other cockamamy conspiracy story. The left, generally, has yet to recognise why they lost the election. They think it's mis/disinformation.

To me it seems that the dems had no clue how to get a consistent, easy to digest message out to the masses. Yes- inflation was/is still up - but it was coming down and the US was doing better than almost every country at controlling it. They still have no idea how to talk to the 'masses', and that vacuum was filled by the right. That whole 'hope and happiness' theme blew up in their faces.
There's a place for the left and the right in politics - but like 5th says, it's just getting too extreme, and the middle ground is harder to find. Hard to say if it's ever going to return to normal, civil discourse again. I'm afraid it's going to take something drastic and extreme to force the masses back to the middle.
