Also played 22 minutes.

He's causing Chaos to Cuz' narrative :D

I think we were onto something here... a higher quality D equates to improved team performance, whether that's against top teams (Caps) or average teams (Blues). We are GD geniuses in here.

I'll throw roses at the big oaf. I think when he piled his head into the boards early he shortened or compressed his neck just enough to reconnect some of the frayed nerves that are for coordination thus creating a slightly less chaotic giraffe

Exactly lol. You'll get a run of decent play then the neck that never ends will start to grow back out to the freakish levels we've become accustomed to once again

Remeinds me of an early Beverly Hillbillies episode when granny was gonna cook some of the chickens (flamingos) by the cement pond (pool).

And Jethro said "whoever gets the neck is gonna be eatin' for days"

From Coach Ricky:
“I thought my Mysie was one of the best players on the ice,” Tocchet told reporters in St. Louis. “I thought he was terrific tonight for us. When he's out. . . you really miss a guy like that. His breakouts were great. I thought that he was excellent. In those three games he was off, he worked really hard. So he didn't miss a beat. I'm really proud of Mysie.”

Two games in a row that they haven’t blown a lead.
Improving the D solved a lot of problems.
The offence starts improving too when the defensemen can clear the zone, and complete a pass.
If they stay healthy, this team can make the playoffs and cause some headaches.

Only caught the third, but a few comments from that;

$11.6M Scooter Boy's goal in life is the Lady Byng Trophy.

Miller has this Bertuzzi lazy look to his play but he is getting it done. linemates getting their names called on TV more because they are doing the work along to boards and in the case of #20, flubbing in the Ozone.

Was the D
Meyers - Hughes
Hronek - Forbert
Soucey - Pettersson

The shine is coming off Sasson, time to gore vidal back to Abby for Sherwood/Joshua.

What I saw of E Pettersson, he looked more comfortable and relaxed, first game jitters done, got his first goal (Louie, Louie).

Did St Louis forecheck at all last night?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

They did in the 2nd, the shortie Suter scored did them in.

At least it was off his leg and not his stick from the blueline. :P

That's a tough question to answer. I thought they did, though obviously they aren't as prolific at it as a few other opponents the Canucks have faced. However, that was the best I have seen our defense quickly move the puck up the ice this season. There was far less off the boards/glass and out, they were reversing the puck to their partner when there wasn't a forward to hit, and I noticed that there was (more often than at any other time this season) a forward in the high slot to act as a middle-man to advance the puck up the ice with a pass to the wing rather than whack it up and hope it can be chased down.

Not perfect, but a definite improvement. The question of course will be if they can do it under pressure from a quicker forecheck.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..
