Trump taking over countries by economic warfare vs Putin taking over countries (Ukraine) by combat warfare.
Is there really a difference. Lives are ruined either way.
The parallels are interesting. One way is by physical force, the other way is through economics.
Dictators all share the same goals. It’s just how they get there is the difference. The end result is the same if successful

Dude, give me an example where one country has been taken over by another through economic warfare. Is there even one? Yeah, wage economic warfare on your biggest trading partner. Brilliant idea! I like what Doug Ford said about cutting off power to the US, LOL.

You don't see a difference between economic warfare and combat warfare???? Over 800,000 Russian casualties alone in combat warfare. How many lives would be lost in economic warfare?? Takeover by a dictator would not end up being the same under economic warfare as opposed to combat warfare, just in lives lost, property and infrastructure losses, etc. Weird take there Chef, even for a lefty.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 11:01 am Trump taking over countries by economic warfare vs Putin taking over countries (Ukraine) by combat warfare.

From the author of the phenomenal New York Times bestseller, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man , comes an expose of international corruption, and an inspired plan to turn the tide for future generations With a presidential election around the corner, questions of America's military buildup, environmental impact, and foreign policy are on everyone's mind. Former Economic Hit Man John Perkins goes behind the scenes of the current geopolitical crisis and offers bold solutions to our most pressing problems. Drawing on interviews with other EHMs, jackals, CIA operatives, reporters, businessmen, and activists, Perkins reveals the secret history of events that have created the current American Empire, including: How the defeats in Vietnam and Iraq have benefited big business The role of Israel as Fortress America in the Middle East Tragic repercussions of the IMF's Asian Economic Collapse The current Latin American revolution and its lessons for democracy U.S. blunders in Tibet, Congo, Lebanon, and Venezuela From the U.S. military in Iraq to infrastructure development in Indonesia, from Peace Corps volunteers in Africa to jackals in Venezuela, Perkins exposes a conspiracy of corruption that has fueled instability and anti-Americanism around the globe, with consequences reflected in our daily headlines. Having raised the alarm, Perkins passionately addresses how Americans can work to create a more peaceful and stable world for future generations.

The epic story of how America turned the world economy into a weapon, upending decades of globalization to take on a new authoritarian axis—Russia, China, and Iran.
It used to be that ravaging another country’s economy required blockading its ports and laying siege to its cities. Now all it takes is a statement posted online by the U.S. government.
In Chokepoints, Edward Fishman, a former top State Department sanctions official, takes us deep into the back rooms of power to reveal the untold history of the last two decades of U.S. foreign policy, in which America renounced the gospel of globalization and waged a new kind of economic war. As Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Ayatollah Khamenei wreaked havoc on the world stage, mavericks within the U.S. government built a fearsome new arsenal of economic weapons, exploiting America’s dominance in global finance and technology. Successive U.S. presidents have relied on these unconventional weapons to address the most pressing national-security threats, for good and for ill.
Chokepoints provides a thrilling account of one of the most critical geopolitical developments of our time, demystifying the complex strategies the U.S. government uses to harness the power of Wall Street, Silicon Valley, and Big Oil against America’s enemies. At the center of the narrative is an eclectic group of policy innovators: the diplomats, lawyers, and financial whizzes who’ve masterminded America’s escalating economic wars against Russia, China, and Iran.
Economic warfare has become the primary way the United States confronts international crises and counters rivals. Sometimes it has achieved spectacular success; other times, bitter failure. The result we live with today is a new world order: an economic arms race among great powers and a fracturing global economy. Chokepoints is the definitive account of how America pioneered this new, hard-hitting style of economic war—and how it’s changing the world.

What Canada exports to the US. If Trumpy Poo starts an economic warfare with Canada. What’s at stake here?

Unless Trump is trolling, and it's a possibility, we're doomed.

But anyway, look at it this way. At least The Don likes us enough to restrict himswelf to economic coercion against us. Mexico, Denmark and Panama get good old fashioned gunboat stuff.
