Hank wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 2:13 pm This team doesn’t move forward by keeping Leivo. Shotgun has already taken over and needs that money.

The next few years will see guys like Podz, Hog, Lind, Madden and more, either make the team or get some NHL games in.

Pearson is a true top 6 placeholder and buys another year for the Russian.
He smells like a 3rd rounder in an off-season trade. Maybe a 2nd if his play keeps up.
Leivo is a UFA July 1st.
I am referring to Pearson. Yes, Leivo hits free agency. I mean, I'd hope for that 7th rounder for us to trade his rights to Buffalo, so they can sign him to 8 years, but that's not likely to happen.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

Let Pearson fill his role for another year. I’d want a fair bit more than a 3rd for him if I’m moving him. Schaller and Leivo should be shot into the sun.

Sutter, Loui, Schaller, Leivo, Baertschi, Goldobin... should not be in the organization next season.

If you don't get a single thing back, it's still addition by subtraction.

Stecher goes too (for a 3rd/4th?) replaced by Rafferty.

Tryamkin will be here too.

Well the Glassman did coach him for a year. I wonder if Salo gave him any pointers on how not to get hurt.
The only HW the Canucks need

I was all in on him avoiding another year in junior. Guess I was wrong. Couldn't have been worse anyways.

What does him playing junior or not in 2017/18 have to do with anything?

How do you know it doesn't? Remember, he requested not going back. Didn't really leave the choice.

Juolevi is a bust. Jason Herter, Libor Polacheck, Josh Holden, Patrick White and now Juolevi

Sucks but we've been through this before.

Yeah that’s why he’s getting all these injuries. Because he played in Finland for a year. Makes total sense :?

@DhaliwalSports
Russian assistant coach Igor Larionov will be on Sekeres & Price today on TSN1040 from Russia.

Larionov on Vasily Podkolzin : "He is a power forward who gives 100%, a hard worker, he reminds me of a young Mark Messier.

He has bright future and is great prospect for Vancouver."

Come on, Hank. The team has looked lost since Leivo went down.

There’s going to be some folks that are angry if Sutter gets dealt.,
