Berglund hit 52 points in 2010-11, when he was 22 years old, you fucking goof.BigTuna wrote:Blues just signed Patrick Berglund to a 5 year extension for a cap hit of 3.85 million per. Not bad, right? Berglund's career high at age 28 is 32 points. Yes, 32. Kadri is on pace to more than double that.

That was my error. But in fairness that was 7 years ago. He's morphed into a 30 pointish player the past few years. That's what he was signed as. The guy again is on pace for around 32 points.Island Nucklehead wrote:Berglund hit 52 points in 2010-11, when he was 22 years old, you fucking goof.BigTuna wrote:Blues just signed Patrick Berglund to a 5 year extension for a cap hit of 3.85 million per. I never said it was a bad contract, it just gives you an idea of contracts these days for players like that.

He's a solid player eh has been dinged up pretty good te last few years. He is averaging almost .5 ppg over his career. His contract is fine and so is Kadris even though I hate the little rat. I'd rather have either player over Sutter.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Like I said, I never stated it was a bad contract. It was only mentioining it because of Doc's ridiculous Kadri is so overpaid nonsense. A player like Berglund now makes about 4 million despite the stats.Blob Mckenzie wrote:He's a solid player eh has been dinged up pretty good te last few years. Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Let's see, Berglund has 3 inches and 25 pounds on teeni weeni kadri.
And Berlund uses it ALL.
Both players are career 20-goal-pace guys.
However Nazi gets twice the PP time Berglund does.
Berglund plays all 3 forward positions and kills penalties - NK not!
Berglund a plus player... the Kad a minus.
Berglund gets a $19M contract... Nazi gets a $27M contract!
Pretty sure most teams would rather have Berglund than that yappy poodle...

NHL Rookie scoring race:
Matthews 30g/24a/54pts
Laine 30g/24a/54pts
Marner 15g/33a/48pts
Nylander 17g/26a/43pts
Tkachuk 11g/30a/41pts
Amazing. leaves have ridiculous talent.

After your embarrassing prediction on Marner being a bust based on size, you may want to consider that size I snot everything.
Kadri is right now a superior player to Berglund. You cannot debny that. All numbers tell us this.
Berlund has played in a Ken Hitchcock defensive system most of the year.
Berlund got 19 million because he's older and is on pace for half of what Kadri is this year and got 5 years compared to 6 . Do you not get that? The cap difference is only 600 k per. You prefer a 32 point guy to a 64 point guy for 600K less?

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Gotta say...i actually enjoy the leaves games these days.
Theyre almost always 10x more entertaining the the hapless Canux and not only just to watch Kadri getting laid out. The Cock has those kids buying in more or less and if they ever add some punch to that rear end they could end up being a pretty good club in the not so distant future.
Matthews pretty deserving of 1st overall i hate to admit...although Laine is a pretty close runner up prize.

Yeah Marner is right now is reeeally proving he can battle through injuries like the big boys.
Kadri is having a fluke season... riding the #1 NHL PP to a career year in goals.BigTuna wrote: Kadri is right now a superior player to Berglund. You cannot debny that. All numbers tell us this.
You are using an unsustainable short sample size to predict the future.
As usual, you are YAP YAP YAPPING when a Leaf player is hot
... and then you switch to silent mode when they go cold.

Laine is huge and he's been concussed already and missed more games than Marner.Strangelove wrote:You snot everything?BigTuna wrote: After your embarrassing prediction on Marner being a bust based on size, you may want to consider that size I snot everything.![]()

Kadri had 45 points last season. Berglund hasn't hit 40+ points in 7 years. How is it a fluke?
Last season Kadri had the fluke season" he had an unsusstainbly low shooting %.

Laine is one-dimensional. Matthews is clearly the better overall player.Strangelove wrote:Seriously?Uncle dans leg wrote: Matthews pretty deserving of 1st overall i hate to admit...although Laine is a pretty close runner up prize.
