Movies ReDux

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Watched it with my kid a month or so ago.

He was impressed, and fucking hated nurse Ratched.

Great story told by Michael Douglas the producer of One Flew how it was filmed at an actual insane asylum in Oregon and how patients of the asylum were used in the film but they didn’t tell Nicholson they were patients and not actors, during a break in filming Jack was getting all flustered as to why these bit part actors wouldn’t stop acting between takes, always in character Funny story if you can find it.

One of the all time greatest movies. Certainly Nicholson’s best IMO

Agreed. Great film. The book's not bad either.

And now something completely different.

Pernilla August (nee Wallgren and previously married Östergren) has been in some 88 movies and TV series, and two more are currently under production. Originally she was often the love interest, but later she seems to have become typecast.

In The Best Intentions she is the mother of Ingmar Bergman.
In Star Wars Ep I and Ep II she is the mother of Darth Vader (aka Anakin Skywalker).
In Mary, Mother of Jesus she is the mother of Jesus Christ.
In The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones she is the mother of Indiana Jones.

Wouldn't you just love a sitcom based on her raising these four sons? :D
Whatever you do, always give 100 %!

Here's the trailer for a new movie...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7PA_kshZh0

It's called "Am I Racist?".

Looks like fun and a good movie for the times in which we live.

Watched The Professional on Netflix last night for the first time in 30 years.

Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, Danny Aiello and a very, very young Natalie Portman.

Kindergarten style Tarantino almost.

Passed the time.

Enjoyed it...

Doyle has. I’m currently avoiding it due to the reviews and length but still may dabble.

Josh Brolin was on Rogan last week talking about, among many other things, No Country of which he told some humorous stories.

So I watched it again.

Still riveting.

Brolin is an interesting cat.

Good conversation.

I watch NCFOM once every few years or so. Great movie. Brolin has done a lot of work over the past 40 years, beginning with the instant classic, The Goonies.
