For the purposes of this debate, does it matter?
You brought him up
That's right, I brought him up to disprove your "icetime on certain teams" argument.

Again I rhetorically ask: For the purposes of this debate, does it matter?

Hargraves has been saying for years that certain Canuck players would receive drastically less icetime on "top teams".

Gudbranson and Sutter being the main two...
Shittsburg got their asses handed to them last year. Not sure if I'd be waving any guddy flags doc. Id peg him at a bottom pairing guy who sits the odd game.

Sutter is an ok to decent player...not top line or anything. Doyles out to lunch on that one

Guddy lacks mobility, ..............................................and speed.

Sutter is a third line center with a bit of a consistency problem amd a bit injury prone now. Would be acceptable at 2.8 / 3.1 per season.
Guess what his best NHL season was? If you said his last year with the Pens, you'ld be right...ka-ching...

Gudbranson saw his toi decrease in Pittsburgh fairly dramatically as the last 20 + games wound down.

What I said is that he’d be a fourth liner on a good team in 2019. Vancouver is not a good team.

What I said is that he’d be a fourth liner on a good team in 2019. Vancouver is not a good team.
Again, he was a 17 minute forward in Pittsburgh.

And no, that's not what you usually say, this is:
Doyle Hargraves wrote: Tue Mar 19, 2019 5:06 pm But this is a GM paying Eriksson and Sutter 10.4 million when they are basically 4th liners
Doyle Hargraves wrote: Fri May 10, 2019 11:57 am an awesome 4th line like Eriksson, Sutter and Beagle. 13.35 million well spent right there
Doyle Hargraves wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2019 12:32 pm Sure I can see teams lining up to take these two air thieves (Eriksson and Sutter) off of Elmer’s hands. Who wouldn’t want a couple fourth liners for that kinda dough? May as well keep them. Play them with Beagle and have a 13.35 million dollar 4th line
Doyle Hargraves wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2019 3:46 pm Spending 19 million on four 4th line scrubs is silly. Clear out the deadweight ASAP. Flesh that shit out. Sutter, Sooner, Louis, Beagle could be replaced by four equal players for 6 million
Doyle Hargraves wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2019 3:03 pm Paying three 4th line guys a total of 13.35 million annually on your cap hit is stupid.
Doyle Hargraves wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 5:45 am having boat anchors manning the 4th line and siphoning 13 + million to do it, isn’t good business.

Yup, on any NHL team needing a 3rd line centre + #1 PK centre, he's your man.

And that is going to add up to 16-17 minutes per game on any NHL team.

This is why 4 teams were rumoured to be inquiring about him last year.

Mod loses debate again. Moves goalpost again. Twists debate in a knot again. Mod resorts to personal attacks again. Rinse, repeat. Wot a mess :stupid:
