If true, this certainly would have been the best leverage they had to get the best deal possible.

Hopefully they can parlay some of these peices into better peices?
Agreed. They had to get this done and now. I’m impressed with Rutherford to man up. The further it dragged the less favourable it would be for the Canucks

Sadly that was that core’s peak. All downhill from there.
Canucks are a minimum three years away from challenging for the playoffs again.

I can't even cancel Sportsnet because, for the first time ever, I decided to go for the annual subscriptions. I've got Canuck luck.

FUCK AROUND!

That is absolutely embarrassing. How does a team go from having 6 guys in the all-star game (and at least one in every position) to this?

Easy to do.

He's lagging behind on page 2.

You can still cancel and get a refund I believe.

Can Judd Brackett walk on water or something, turn water into wine? Jesus Christ.
If the reports are true that Quinn advised the organization that he is going to UFA status, that bugs me....not just for the teams sake but also because it likely influenced what teams were prepared to offer...

Gotta give Guerin kudos for the size of his balls...

I prefer Bieksa types who are prepared to go down with the ship ...

And didn't you explode when Brackett left Vancouver?

I won’t say anything until a year from now. Want to see how they settle in and what they do with the 2026 1st.

Emotions are running high at the moment.

This is a logical reserved take Reef.

Agreed.

You can cancel or upgrade to Sportsnet+, but no refund. I just checked.

With Pettersson, Rossi, Cootes, Raty down the middle, Petey being the oldest at 27 (turned 27 today) the need to draft a centre like Tynan Lawrence ain’t paramount. A winger like McKenna, Stenberg or Belchetz may be the route to go?

Marco Rossi - C - 17g 4g 9a 13p
Zeev Buium - LD - 31gm 3g 11a 14p ( #12 overall 2024 NHL Entry Draft)
Liam Ohgren - LW 18g 0g 0a 0p ( #19 overall 2022 NHL Entry Draft)

First impression is that we're fucked unless that 1st rounder comes up big.

Big picture.

It’s coming out now that Hughes wasn’t going to sign. Had to get rid of him while we could
