The guys they got back are soft and weak like everything else they touch. Canucks are the new saku Koivu smurf habs.

Re: Hughes Traded Thread
It seems the Canucks Mgmt were aware Hughes wasn't resigning with Van.
If true, this certainly would have been the best leverage they had to get the best deal possible.
Hopefully they can parlay some of these peices into better peices?

Apparently Jerseys offer was not even close to tempting and other Eastern based teams took a stab to no avail.
Guerin jumped in a week ago and goterdun.
Wish we had a Billly G.

I wasn't. The antisemitism that has been fostered in Canada makes me shake my head in disgust.donlever wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 5:52 pmI jest Megs but something like that....Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 5:49 pm *not seeing the Jewish thing though guys. What's that all about?
I couldn't imagine him wanting to stay in a place whose government abets and nurtures people who hate him.
Will wait to see when another American defenceman gets traded...

How? His best player and leading scorer just went to Minnesota for futures and a 2C.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 6:03 pm Mr Aquilini is thinking playoffs now, sure as I'm sitting here.
Oh the ugliness...
The 1C is injured and the 1G is fragile as fuck.
But I hope he is thinking playoffs now because he will sure AF fire Rutherford and Allvin when they inevitably miss.....for the next 3 seasons.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

I'm not following any of that. There's certainly no sign of it anywhere I've been.Lancer wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 6:16 pmI wasn't. I'm holding back on forming an opinion until I learn more about the players coming back....
Knowing that they are Judd Brackett picks is positive...
Reading that there are lots of upset Wild fans over this deal is positive, especially over the inclusion of Buium...
Ironic that many Wild fans are upset that the deal doesn't address their need at centre...
Waiting for GM's to come out of the woodwork saying that they weren't given a chance to bid and they could have made better offers...
