But when a team is a tire fire from 2015-2022 one might think they accrue some young assets. Good Old Elms. Hopefully he's in a home now playing checkers with Gohmert.
There's a pile of tweeners on the farm -- they could be replacement level, its possible that one or two could become replacement + players. And there are a couple of NHL prospects that could be something more.

Bains isn't one, in my view. I wouldn't say hot garbage, but he doesn't seem to have a skill set that looks like NHL success when that skill set is more fully realized. He's the kind of player who looks good against AHL opponents, but is neutralized by NHL players. He needs that extra beat of time, that slower turn by the D, etc., to take advantage his talents.

The only reason there could be some optimism is that he was a late developer, so maybe there's more than a skill set to grow into; instead, skills that can be meaningfully grown. I doubt it, it's rare, but possible.

For call ups to play down in the line up, I'd rather see Karlsson.

Good news! We didn't need a serious injury this early in the season.
“Day-to-day,” Tocchet said. “I think we dodged a bullet. It looked worse [than it was]. He was hurting, but after talking to him today and after the game, I think we might’ve dodged a bullet. We’ll see what happens. He’ll be on the road.”

Tocchet on Pettersson taking steps to find his game: “He came out early with us 20 minutes before with myself and the Twins and Krogger (skills coach Jason Krog). Just has to work on certain parts of his game. It was one of his better practices today and I think there were some reasons for it. Going out early and working on his game, I think he’s going to have to have that approach now for a while. And that will get his confidence. We have a plan with him and just chip away at his game.”

Fingers crossed

Garland is a heart and sould guy who brings it every night but DG is going to be a top line winger who can rip 40+ a year.

No comparison in my opinion

Surprised by how good Guenther is turning out to be. Wasn’t impressed with his game at the WJC.

Sarcasm. It was one of several retarded moves by the previous regime.

Man, it sucks when we draft a dud and a star player is picked like right after (ie: Juolevi/Matty Tkachuk, McCann/Pastrnak, Virtanen/Ehlers or Willy Nylander). I think it sucks even more when we trade a pick and the other team uses it to draft an impact player. There's that 2nd round pick for Baercheese, which turned out to be R.Andersson. Now there's that OEL & Garly package for a 1st, which turned out to be D.Guenther and he's looking like a good one. Throw in the fact that we bought out OEL and we're going to have that dead cap (retention) lingering up our asses for like the next decade. Talk about salt on the wound. As much as I liked JB, that's 2 on his watch. I gotta admit, that tarnishes his legacy quite substantially.

Fuq, oh well... Happy Thanksgiving doods!

Yeah it's more like 22..... not 2. That chump won't draw another check in the league unless it's for pension, mental health or obesity. Klown.
