Regardless of the outcome, It will be interesting to hear his reasons for only accepting Vancouver or Boston as destinations. Can certainly
understand the past and present Swedish affiliation with the Canucks. Must be pretty strong because the tax-man hits harder here.

If Armstrong can't get what he wants the smart move is to just stay put, but the owner Alex Meruelo could pressure Armstrong into just accepting a decent deal instead of trying to get overpayment.

So midnight Thursday? If I was Benning I'd revise the offer down. Virtanen, Eriksson, Sutter, and a 3rd at most or as Burrows would put it "Virtanen, two turds and a tird".
Actually if I was Benning, I wouldn't even make that deal nor would I pony up something like 5x5 for Tanev as is rumoured to be what the Pens are prepared to do. There's going to be plenty of players to choose from come Friday and this is a highly desirable place to be.
