Hey Petey, I know this guy... got a killer piece of property in your neck of the woods.

Really? Wow, thanks Millsy!

Weird question. Like:... really weird.

Pretty much.

One had some hope as a player and one did not.

:look:
Greg C Adams played 580 games and scored 240 points. He was undrafted and had a good career. Played a hard nosed game..... he would be a heavyweight in this damp dump of a league

The defence is an embarrassment right now. Now that they’ve finally called up De-Petey and with Myers out, they need to give him a run and some time on the penalty kill. Switch Soucy to his offside so they can bench at least one of Friedman or Deharnais and go with:

Hughes Hronek
De-Petey Soucy
Forbert Deharnais (or Friedman)

When Myers is back they can bench them both.

Forwards selected after Pettersson in 2017. Chef wanted Vilardi. Who is it here recently who said that Necas is a bum? Somebody here did.

Necas - 16 goals 37 assists - 53 points
Suzuki - 14 goals 33 assists - 47 points
Vilardi - 20 goals 22 assists - 42 points
Robertson - 15 goals 27 assists - 42 points
Thomas - 11 goals 24 assists - 35 points
Petey - 11 goals 19 assists - 30 points
Tippett - 13 goals 16 assists - 29 points
Mittelstadt - 9 goals 20 assists - 29 points
Norris - 17 goals 10 assist - 27 points

$11.6 million per year…ouch. That better change soon or we are hooped. Necas at $6.5 million per year is a song, a walk in the park, a stroll along the beach…

I wanted Necas at the draft, but up until the all-star game last year Pettersson was a much, much better choice.
Necas has 296 points in 410 games in his career, Petey 442 in 447.
Makar is the only player who has outplayed Petey from the 2017 draft and he was gone before the Canucks picked.

Petey and Miller are having down years, but the team losing has more to do with the defence’s inability to hold onto leads.
If Necas had played all year for the Canucks in Pettersson’s place, I doubt they would be much better off.
They still wouldn’t be able to hold onto leads.

When I read that, I don't quite understand why he left then.....other than not feeling prioritized over a talent like Guentzel.

Money? Same same.

Term? Same at the end.

City vibe? Loved it.

Contract negotiations? WTF do you expect, that they'd open the vault?

Coaching staff? Very impressed.

Teammates and locker room? Crickets.
He said something about family….

He said there were some things said by management during the negotiations that he didn't appreciate. Given a similar offer from the Bruins and they wanted him, why not go where you feel more comfortable with the guys who sign the cheques.

This is the group that signed Miller to $8M and low ball offered Bo $5M.

No wonder they have always had a revolving door of players outside the top line.

I wanted Pettersson and got Pettersson. For better and worse.

We still don't know what it's all about, but in my defense, I don't believe "will mope around when he gets down" was in any publicly available scouting document. BUT he's still young, and therefore, stupid. I'm OK to call it growing pains, that could be the copium talking.

He's still a more natural center than Necas, and Centers are the most important position in hockey. At least it seems to be an ever recurring theme that teams with great depth or talent in the area seem to keep winning Cups. Funny enough, playing around with some of the more advanced tech available to dweebs, I played around with some Boeser for Necas deals in the offseason.

Even stars will have down years. Sometimes its a factor of long-term rehabbing of lingering injuries or adapting to them. Sometimes it's a factor of team dynamics and line-mates. Those would suggest the down-turn could be just temporary, and we've seen cases of athletes having renaissance years after being deemed washed-up.

Sometimes their body just ain't what it used to be or they're checked-out. In that case, they are what they are and it's downhill from there.

It's up to management to figure out which case it is. It's not just Pettersson; it's also Miller, though it seems they've made up their mind on him.

If Pettersson had been balking last summer and management went with the rumoured deal with Carolina and got Necas back, I wouldn't have hated the deal but neither would I have been doing cartwheels either. I'm not sure Necas would be an upgrade or could fill the role we expected of Petey. The only thing he would be is cheaper on the Cap.

This has been a Murphy season anyway so management may opt to wait until the offseason to decide whether this year was a blip or a trend. Hopefully they reach that decision before Petey's NMC kicks in.

Who needs a NMC when your game is completely in the tank the way Peter's game is.

That $11.6 x 8 is all the NMC he'll ever need.

Thank you, Patrick
Its Patrick's third year on the job. Lennie Small's third year on the job was 2016-17

Alex Edler- thank you Thomas Gradin- re-upped by Eye Bags.
Chris Tanev- thank you Eye Bags
Alex Biega- an Eye Bags depth signing
Ben Hutton - 514 games and still playing- Michael D

Erik Gudbranson- thanks a lot Lennie
Luca Sbisa- Great acquisition Lennie
Troy Stecher- probably Lennie's best find till 2018
Philip Larsen- Fuck off Lennie
Nikita Tryamkin- didn't know they could stack shit that high

The first group is substantially better than the second one. Lets give people more than 2 1/2 years before we go full urine crew maybe.

But I guess Lennie had the ultra competitive Olli Juolevi coming up right?? Ill take EP2 and Wilander over that spineless klown.

I don't like the off season moves but the dead cap for Air Thief 2 is killing them. Thanks Lennie. Could have easily retained Cole and Z.

Guys like Cole and The Sheriff are glue guys that would have smacked 9 in the mouth for behaving like he has.
