They can definitely make it happen.
They still have a defense to fill out this year and if they don’t, they are still going to have to work to make the playoffs. They need blue liners now. As masterful as Grier was with the draft, it still is loading up for the future juggernaut. If they land Werenski, some of what makes up that future juggernaut will be part of the deal. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Verhoff as part of the package that lands Werenski….
