No Country is a great movie, no question.

Speaking of Brolin, I got a big kick out of Hail, Caesar!

Laugh? Oh fuck did I laugh!

Gotta agree with Penn here, the state of cinema is full on Marvel, fantasy WWF. I just saw a stream of trailers for movies coming in 2025 and it was all marvel, fantasy shit. The next gen simply don’t give a fuck about human stories anymore. We are breeding a race of fantasy fucks.

I think football has that covered - this is more about corporate greed and not taking chances.

Six directors Tarantino hates. He doesn’t hide the fact that he does. Talks openly about it.

1. David Lynch
2. Stanley Kubrick
3. Alfred Hitchcock
4. Wes Craven
5. Jean Luc Goddard
6. John Ford

Are you going to provide an end result conclusive, summarized thesis of your thoughts on that one?

I’ve watched a lot interviews with Tarantino. You can Google his thoughts on those 6 directors.

David Lynch’s movies drove him nuts, same with Hitchcock

I was moreso looking to see if you had a point in bringing it up out of the blue.

David Lynch’s passing

Personally I like Kubrick and Hitchcock. Some of David Lynch’s movies are difficult to get through, I turned Twin Peaks off early in the game, so I get it regarding Lynch.

I don’t agree with Tarantino on everything, his ego is over the top.

I don't like Tarantino at all.

He was on Rogan with Roger Avary a few weeks back and I couldn't do more than 10 minutes.

His movies are some of my favorites however.

Kubrick I like a lot.

I'm with you on Lynch.

Twin Peaks I gave up on as well.

Didn't like Dune.

Didn't really enjoy Blue Velvet either.

I don’t like Tarantino the person either, think he is severely overrated, his movies are novelty and is toooo much of a 70’s fan boy, where his inspiration comes from.

Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
Hollywood
Django

...I'd watch any day of the week.

Inglorious
Hateful
Kill Bills

....enjoyed them all and will rewatch one day.
