How did he throw Brock under the bus?Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 12:50 pm Bush league move by Allvin throwing Boeser under the bus to deflect the heat from Aquilini.
I heard it all disappears in the summer. Can''t use it for next yearMegaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:35 pm $13.5 in cap space left on the table by the stable geniuses. LOL.
Said no one was willing to pay the cost for Boeser and they could not get a deal done. Basically telling his agent he couldn’t be moved for a return that Canucks could accept.Mëds wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:36 pmHow did he throw Brock under the bus?Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 12:50 pm Bush league move by Allvin throwing Boeser under the bus to deflect the heat from Aquilini.
Well he said there was no interest in him with him going into UFA. That's he's not worth much. Why say anything?Mëds wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:36 pmHow did he throw Brock under the bus?Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 12:50 pm Bush league move by Allvin throwing Boeser under the bus to deflect the heat from Aquilini.
Right. Oh well at least the owner saves a few bucks eh. There is that.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:41 pmI heard it all disappears in the summer. Can''t use it for next yearMegaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:35 pm $13.5 in cap space left on the table by the stable geniuses. LOL.
So let’s say you are the Vancouver Canucks. You are in the mix. You want to add Brock Boeser. Would you be happy the team paid a first and a good prospect or a 1st and a roster player? Maybe Lekkermaki or Hoglander? Is that a deal you would like?Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:30 pmWell let's disagree then, I can't believe they weren't offered anything worth trading for. He's a better hockey player than Anthony Beauvillier in my very humble opinion. The rest of your post hits the target square. Ownership wants the two gates.I used to do schtick about this stuff with Frankie, I know the drillHockey Widow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:24 pmStill doesn’t prove they turned down a first. Let’s be honest with each other. Canucks didn’t want picks and prospects. Made it known they wanted roster player(s) so they could still compete.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:17 pmOh come on Wids. Look at the evidence. But Allvin had previously said they were not interested in picks as much as they needed roster players with term. But I don’t buy they would turn down a first for him.
Neither you nor I know what was on the table. So your guess is as good as mine. But I simply don’t buy that they turned down a 1st or any other good trade. I believe him he got offered less and that that return would inhibit our ability to make the playoffs. This was all about still making the playoffs and they felt they were better suited to do that than take any return they were being offered. This is where it is fucked up. Boston just unloaded a shitload because they can read the tea leaves. So ya, maybe that part is ownership saying playoffs or your job. This is my frustration.
We always seem to fail to move out players when other teams can move on.![]()
Well, we don't know what the offers were. The only comments about Brock that I heard was: "I spoke with his agent last night and told him that this could happen that no deal would be made" and "If I told you what I was offered for Brock Boeser I would have to run out of here because you would not believe me."Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:42 pmSaid no one was willing to pay the cost for Boeser and they could not get a deal done. It's too bad Sakic isn't a GM.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:49 pm The GM I like is Sakic. He moves out players before losing them to FA.
I think he fetches a late first as I said before. The overwhelming consensus is that Allvin is lying and the Cabnucks must have turned down decent offers for Suter and Boeser. But none us were in the war room drinking coffee and eating potato chips with the braintrust as you said so they do have a degree of deniability even if it isn't very plausible.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:47 pmSo let’s say you are the Vancouver Canucks.
