Alright, you take a look at CapFriendly and tell me how else Tampa could have possibly gotten under the cap.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 1:04 pm Kucherov is a top 5 player in the league. Absolutely asinine to think Tampa cooked this up to get under the cap. ‘Hey Boss we’re going to cut up your hip so we can keep Cernak and Cirelli’.
Between that and the schedule will be easier for Vancouver than any of the other Canadian teams..... two of the sillier things I’ve read here recently
Just saw that. Too bad he didn’t stay in the USA
And now the last chip falls - Cirelli and Coburn and a 2nd for LTIR relief from Ottawa, Gaborik and Nilsson.Strangelove wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 8:13 pmAlright, you take a look at CapFriendly and tell me how else Tampa could have possibly gotten under the cap.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 1:04 pm Kucherov is a top 5 player in the league. They're $12M over right now!![]()
Ottawa gets the second round pick back for Stepan and gets more guys. Good trade for Ottawa.ESQ wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 8:18 amAnd now the last chip falls - Cirelli and Coburn and a 2nd for LTIR relief from Ottawa, Gaborik and Nilsson.Strangelove wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 8:13 pmAlright, you take a look at CapFriendly and tell me how else Tampa could have possibly gotten under the cap.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 1:04 pm Kucherov is a top 5 player in the league. Maybe some day, someone will explain to me why circumventing the cap with trades like these is fine, but the 2020 Canucks must be punished for the Luongo retirement...
I agree, north division is looking like the toughest top-to-bottom. There's no clear front runner, but also no clear basement-dweller.The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 8:37 am Nobody is giving Ottawa much of a chance but I see darkhorse potential. The goaltending is an unknown with Murray but if he comes in motivated watch out.
I'm still calling torontoilet and edmonton to miss the playoffs
I don’t trust Ottawa’s goaltending or defence, and their forwards have too much growth to go through to be a realistic playoff threat, but they will play hard and win some games. I can see them not being last, which would be an accomplishment this season. But you never know, maybe the other teams will have so many injuries beating each other up that they can sneak in. I kind of like Ottawa. I really like Brady Tkachuk, almost as much as Matthew Tkachuk disgusts me.The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 8:37 am Nobody is giving Ottawa much of a chance but I see darkhorse potential. Taking on LTIR players isn't cap circumvention.ESQ wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 8:18 amAnd now the last chip falls - Cirelli and Coburn and a 2nd for LTIR relief from Ottawa, Gaborik and Nilsson.Strangelove wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 8:13 pmAlright, you take a look at CapFriendly and tell me how else Tampa could have possibly gotten under the cap.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 1:04 pm Kucherov is a top 5 player in the league. I agree with everything in this post, including the Tkachuk brothers.Cherry Picker wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 10:58 am I don’t trust Ottawa’s goaltending or defence, and their forwards have too much growth to go through to be a realistic playoff threat, but they will play hard and win some games. His lack of respect for the Sedin brothers has made him susceptible to dooshbagitis. There is no cureMegaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 9:59 am Sounds like Toews has the 'rona.
