Lawrence seems like a Blues-type of player.

I also think it would have been wise to avoid this media circus.

We might as swell just quit at this point.
The Sharks certainly seem to have won the '27 draft. But there are at least 3 more drafts of consequence between now and the '32 playoffs. I will dare to hope that RJ watched and learned in time for what is projected to be an even more loaded draft next year.

Yeah theman....they have set themselves up for some potential future issues both media and family wise.
Hopefully the kid is mature because the incessant grilling starts at prospect camp.
...or...
Manny gets fired unceremoniously and Caleb takes it to heart....
...fukin Canucks.
Sigh.

The Sharks already have Celebrini, Smith, Misa and Stenberg all only 21 years old or less.Ronning's Ghost wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2026 5:39 pmMegaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2026 5:17 pm San Jose is gaming the system.

We haven't drafted that quantity of quality forward in the totality of our existence let alone in the next 3 years.

In 20 years when Matthew Schaefer retires from hockey, he’s got a career in broadcasting. Kid is killing it.

I guess DeBrusk will be at training camp this fall.

Or, alternatively, when the opportunity arose (due to injury) to move up the lineup, he took the reigns and let er buck.
Some scouts had him as the best player in this draft even, a future franchise center. Maybe that's a stretch but I don't think picking him was an egregious fuckup by any stretch

McTavish is being traded, hopefully that gets teams moving on DeBrusk.

Celebrini is on track to be a UFA in '31. Maybe if, by then, the Canucks look like they're turning the corner, he wants to "come home".
I guess I'm still high on the relief of ownership finally acknowledging that the team will never be any good if they don't do the unpleasant work of a rebuild. The Sharks are several years ahead of the Canucks in their rebuild trajectory.

MacTavish to the Blues. What happens when you have 1st-rounders to burn.

I can’t understand how DeBrusk not gone yet, apparently he is willing to move.
