Ottawa first team out.
That was a seriously entertaining game though.
I hope Van's new Mgmt. watched that. Toughness, team and otherwise on both sides.

Carolina is a machine. Stankhoven was a good pickup. Carolina runs a tight ship that is always competitive up to the second round.

Bruins having their shit pushed in bad at home by the Sabres. 4-0 15 minutes in shots are 15-2

Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
I had to check the stats to see if Elias Lindholm was dressing for them. He's suffered a pretty significant decline since his time in Van already (if anyone recalls he was maybe our best forward in the playoffs). That must be disturbing for the Bruins

Considering everyone of consequence who left the team after that 23/24 season, none besides Hughes has gone to (or created) greener pastures for themselves. Almost like whatever karma they had going for themselves that season went bad for everybody.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2026 12:09 pm I had to check the stats to see if Elias Lindholm was dressing for them. I'd argue Lindholm was showing a numbers decline even in Calgary. After he turned down that rumoured massive $9M per there. He wasn't that great when he first came to the Nucks, but stepped it up in the playoffs a bit, which helped him get that contract with the Bs.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2026 12:09 pm He's suffered a pretty significant decline since his time in Van already (if anyone recalls he was maybe our best forward in the playoffs). He seems to have that Swedish knack for turning it up when the money is on the table, then turning it back down again.Todd Bersnoozi wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2026 10:20 pmI'd argue Lindholm was showing a numbers decline even in Calgary. Excellent observation there, Todd.

Sure looked like a good goal to me. But I cannot get that the refs called it a goal on the ice. That was a tough break for Edmonton but in the end a good goal was called a good goal.
Ya poor Edmonton..............

Screw Edmonton. Hopefully the Ducks can close this out soon.

I didn’t see them call a good goal on the ice. Missed that because they seemed so uncertain behind the net.
I’ve never seen a good goal be called on review when you cannot see a sliver of ice between the puck and the goal line.
The angles they have on it didn’t show that, however simple math allows one to extrapolate the arc of the puck that was hidden under the skate blade and see it was across the line.
Of course they had to prove it was still touching the line to overturn the on-ice call, so there we have it.
Either way, they got the call right.
I’m hoping the get bounced in 5 on home ice and it’s the beginning of the end of McDavid’s time in Edmonton.
