Have to be in control of your stick.

I liked the ref's explaining that at length to St.Louis - even though he obviously didn't like that call - it shows so much respect.

That BUF comeback was exciting! Still, they looked disjointed through two periods so who knows who will show up for game two.

Playoff nerves? First time the franchise has made the dance in 14 years, and they win their division and secure home ice for the first round…..that atmosphere had to be palpable.

Yeah + 1 Mëds.

The atmosphere in Buffalo yesterday was over the top crazy intense.

Look no further than Socialz to see the shenanigans.

Those boys must have been way to high and full of uncontrolled adrenaline.

Looking for a more reasoned & seasoned approach in game 2 for sure.

I don't care that they're our expansion cousins.

I don't care that them winning it all will leave less company for us in the Sad Club.

I kinda wanna see them do it. If for no other reason than I can't find another team to 'bandwagon' this year.

I might rethink it if they do go as far as the Finals, which I think is very realistic because nobody looks frightening in the East and the energy from their rabid base will provide the rocket fuel to get them there.

Yeah I'm fine with the Sabres winning.

They've got a nice group of players there.

Hoping they lose simply in order to share our woes reeks of petulance.

Maybe they need M Pettersson back for a run next year?

Me too, Nucker. I've been on the Buffalo bandwagon all year.

I'm hoping the Sens get past the Hurricanes too. That means Carolina has to really shake things up before their window slams shut.

...and Geezer has another one of his old teams to possibly deal with instead of repeatedly getting Graped by Dubas and the Pens.

Somehow, old 'Dumbass' is able to leverage HOFs Crosby & Malkin to qualify for the playoffs while accumulating a hoard of picks for their franchise's future. TFGs... :scowl:

Four possibilities to leave the Sad Club this year.

How's this for reality smacking you in the face? The hopers will be hoping for at least 6-8 more years before we might have a realistic crack at it again. And that's being hopeful, probably closer to 10 (or never as long as AIG still owns the outfit).

Yeah 'Tuzzi.

I'm hoping to have what, 30 years of life left save for some anti age, age reversal medical breakthrough arriving in the nick of time.

I've long ago given up hope I'll see a Canuck Stanley Cup.

There's something about an American fanbase that cares about the game as might as we do (if not more the way those fans are nutting it up). So fucked up that Vegas and both Florida teams get to taste it before they/we do.

That said, I'm perfectly happy to see another rabid American fanbase stay in the Sad Club. If somebody told me before Dec 13 I would be cheering hard against Quinn Hughes by year's end I'd ask what they're smoking.

Lol.

Au contraire mon ami.

As I've said before I'm fine with the Wild winning.

A team built through solid GM leadership and done so initially with the Suter/Parise noose around his neck.

Watch and learn AIG.
