Oh that definitely takes the cake! I am so sorry for you! Kid sounds cool though to support that time out of spite!Mëds wrote: ↑Thu Jan 01, 2026 1:45 amEven if it does, you're one up on me still.....my British Colombian born son chose the Flames as his team to spite his old man.rockalt wrote: ↑Thu Jan 01, 2026 12:57 amHahahaha! One can only hope! I was so relieved to hear that word only to have them backtrack so predictably!
I have never stopped watching the Canucks (though it's rare to watch them live anymore with the time difference) but I just progressively stopped checking this board as life got busier etc. I have however convinced my 3 English sons to become fans - maybe that makes me a terrible dad!One of these days I'll need to take them to a game in person - last Canucks game I attended was 2007!
Cookie & MCP! Great to hear from you both! Yeah I always wondered what happened to Matty, Meers & Robert. They stopped posting a few years before I stopped too - maybe as far back as 2008 or 2009. I wondered if they simply changed handle.Cookie La Rue wrote: ↑Thu Jan 01, 2026 7:55 amHey, nice to get some old faces back. When was our cc meet and greet at Sharks? 2004 or 2008?
Still have great memories bout this night.![]()
What a fun run.
MCP is still posting here but Matty, Meers and Robert were quiet for many years.
My last visit to Rogers Arena together with Matty was against the Red Wings in 2008. He gave me the season ticket of his wife. Last time being in Van was in 2015, because of stupid ticket prices my last live hockey game was at Pacific Coliseum watching the Giants. Admission was 15 bucks when i remember correctly. Ty Ronning was playing, he's now in Berlin for a few years and always top scoring.

Did not Puckhead pay the tab at the end of the night??rockalt wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 1:22 pmCookie & MCP! Great to hear from you both! Yeah I always wondered what happened to Matty, Meers & Robert. The CC meet & greet was really 2004? Oh man that was a great night! Meers was definitely a generous guy - I do recall the cigars he had on offer and didn't we end up at that fancy strip club? I can't remember the name - 22 years will do that to you. I just remember it was the high end one that I'd never been to before.

..I think Mitten got on the stage and was dancing when we were asked to leave….

And yes - I remember that meet-n-greet for the Vancouver crowd and was more just a little jealous that I was down in Vegas. The 'public' stories were fun enough - can't imagine the ones that stayed within the group!Meerchaum was a character, that's for sure.
Lol....I did that there with a fair stage maiden once.Madcombinepilot wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 9:01 pm..I think Mitten got on the stage and was dancing when we were asked to leave….![]()

Brandis is more for lawyer type of guys. I liked Cecils better, unfortunately the whole building doesn't exist anymore. They build up flats or something.
