General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that G Nikita Tolopilo has been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL).
Wonder how long he'll be down there.... damn, I hate being a pessimist, but it's all I got right now.

😢

Three prospects and a mid round first.
Hope they turn out.

So who do the Canucks have left with any marketability with the fandom??

Pettersson is yesterday's news - wrapped around yesterday's fish.

Demko is the tin man - like a temperamental Fiat convertible can tease but is in the shop as often as not.

Boeser is in the same boat as Garland, DeBrusk, Myers, MP3 and Hronek - good supporting cast but no stars to be found among them.

The kids? They've held their own for the most part and offer promise of being full-timers, but not seeing any stars here.

The last remaining option to be the face of the franchise just left.

Enjoy the empty seats, Frankie.

I'm looking forward to a L R d combo of Willander Buium and seeing what that looks like moving forward.

I'm looking forward to seeing.

EP
Rossi
Chytil
Raty

...down the middle...be the best we've seen this year for sure.

I'm looking forward to a little speed down the gut which Rossi will bring.

I'm looking forward to seeing if Lekk and Ohgen (as I said 19G 18A in 41 games in the A last year...hardly anything to sneeze at) can fire up some of their youth related chemistry.

I'm looking forward to 2 1sts in a decent draft....

We talk about no youth on our team and now we have some...and some future draft capital.

Empty seats for sure.

But also some new assets to assess.....

We are the dumbest fucking franchise in the history of sports.

Maybe next year. I wager Foote will want Hronek to clean up Buium's messes; I wouldn't be surprised if Hronek's scoring stats suffer as a result of being the safety valve for Buium. Willander is still trying to figure it out as a rookie but he may serve once Hronek ages out of the top pair.

You would be correct - which shames me as a Canucks fan to say. The best thing that centre group has going for it is that Kampf is not in it.

Rossi = younger, cheaper Pius Suter. He plugs a hole in the top-6, but he is what he is at age 24. Yay.

It does have a bit of a Sedin-esque novelty to it, but I'm afraid they'll have more success in Sweden than here - as their stat profiles would suggest.

Arguably the most valuable piece - even if it is in the mid-20s. That is, if Rutherford doesn't trade it.

The team got younger, not better. Buium may become a feature on the team moving forward. The rest are fresh chum for the Sea of Garlands.

Man.....you've gotta spell shit out sometimes.

I didn't say Buium Willander would be playing together this year.

I was born at night but not last night.

The rest of it we are diametrically opposed on so there is no further interaction to be had on the topic(s)....

..agree to disagree.

From what I've seen of Willander, and what very little we know of Buium, I could very much see them being our top pairing a few years from now.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..
