CC Random thread

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

A lot's changed over the years!! I think another meetup would be fun (and no, I'm not coming from Nebraska).

I went to one soon after moving here. The experience is amazing - unlike any other sporting event I've been to. The seats, on the other hand were the least comfortable I've sat on, and there's no room side to side. Guess that helps when it's 20 below. ;)

But then they've sold out every home game since Kennedy was in office (404 and counting). (something the Canucks would envy)

On this day in 1969, the NHL announced new teams in Vancouver and Buffalo. Interestingly enough, they also announced a potential team in Moscow, Russia.

You know what trips me out? AI. Can it become self preserving/aware and start to fuck around?

How about those weird stumbling robot things...or the attack dogs?

That trips me out man

Once AI becomes sentient look the fuck out.

Hopefully someone's got a grip on it but yeahno I doubt it.

As far as the robots and dogs go....Terminator here we come.

All Jellos horses and all Jellos guns ain't gonna do a heap of good.

Although where he lives makes him later on the list perhaps....

Nope! Way too much invested to put the reins on it.

It will do a lot of good, but I'm more worried about bad actors using for hacking, etc. That will be a bigger problem before it becomes self-aware.

Outside of your bad actors it will do a lot of good unless Putin or Xi's cohorts decide to go rogue.

We are looking at robots for our business which I never would have guessed this early in the game.
