True, but to be fair, Chef appears to have moved on -- at least in his posting pattern.

I think most of the board (all, what -- 14 of us?) has agreed that there is little to be gained at this point by re-hashing the limitations of the Benning administration, or comparing it with the limitations of the Gillis administration, except perhaps as part of some larger historical retrospective on the disappointments of Canucks management.
[e.g. I think we agree that Quinn is the best the franchise has seen, but I've got a lot of problems with even many of his moves.]

I don't love the job these guys are doing.
Agreed.

Also true, but that's a low bar, and I think we have reason to expect better, even if many of us agree that the biggest part of the challenge is managing up. This is supposed to be the big leagues.

The value of the Canucks franchise exceeds 2 billion. The hockey-ops component is not as well-run as an average mom & pop corner grocer.

Better yes. Light years, no.

It’s been a Royal shit show after the playoffs against the Oilers. But even so with those playoffs, the Petey/Miller gong show that management dropped the ball on in managing was alive and well at the time. Should’ve taken that Necas offer on Petey. That’s where the disaster started after the disaster of deciding to keep Miller over Horvat.
Hey Trump, I’m ANTIFA.

How accurate is that rumour of the Necas trade?

From what I've read - I've give it about 80% chance of being true - you never know unless you hear it from a reliable source, but the rumours were out there and fairly solid at the time. For what it's worth, AI says it's true :D

I’d say Topper still counts…..probably over his protestations.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Well...i can tell you he told me 2 days ago that it will be a long time before he bothers again, if ever, after his most recent posts.

So I left him off the list.

As a rule no, he is paying limited to zero attention.

He's pretty disillusioned with the entire organization top to bottom which, as a long time fan, I think is eminently fair.

His son and friends watch so he catches the odd this and that on occasion.

RG said 14 people post here

I said no, ur wrong, it is more like 30 and named them

Mëds said add Topper

I said I did not list him because he told me he's done for now

Don't shoot the messenger

...also, this most recent time he came back was because I prodded him not at his personal behest....

And yes dangler...his game summaries were top notch I agree.....

You had to ruin my "18 posters" joke, didn't ya, Donmeister :scowl:

What I'm shocked by is, I think RG was actually try making a joke about this... dropping the total down to 14.

Way to go lad, didn't know you had it in you :D

Don't blame Topper one bit.

Ok, back to the serious business...

EDIT: Actually, I can't take credit for this. I think it was Blob who started the "18 posters" thing.
