Well, we seem to have ‘the tank’ firmly in control this year.. so why you still negative on the posts? Your winning!! Yay!!
What's negative about this? It's what this franchise does and what this regime has been doing. The "tanking" isn't by design. Oh yeah, I'm the one who's winning. Yahoo!
I suppose the mods could update the phpbb emojis and add a pom-pom waving smiley so we could just post that and be positive.

We are all wanting the tank, let’s be clear about that, the beef (negativity) is based on how our lovely management views the situation. Let’s be honest, when you factor in the up and comer’s in the western conference and they are plenititul, our pipeline and our current roster, the outlook isn’t promising. It’s how management views the situation and prospects that is the frustration, hence, “the negativity”.

I thought you would be happy. YOU want the tank, well, its happening without any help from management, and you still want to bitch and complain.
Your winning. rejoice in your moment!!! savior your victory!!
A tank is much more useful if it is a calculated part of a rebuild strategy. So I don't just want to see the team do poorly (and have an improved chance at a high draft pick) because they did a bad job of roster composition, or cap management, or coaching choice*, or whatever else, but also because they have traded as high as possible on current assets in favour of stockpiling future assets.
*honestly, I have no sense of how good or bad a job Foote is doing, except to note that their PK is poor, and that my understanding is that coaches have a bigger impact on special teams.
Management went into the season satisfied this was a playoff team with the team they put together. Where they are now wasn’t anticipated, expected. Ideally they’ve adjust, accepted their fate and will be taking advantage of the opportunity to restock the pipeline and start again next summer. Not wanting a complete rip er down long term rebuild but they could definitely build on drafting Cootes from the last draft by selling off some vets for futures or youth.

Even that would be reason for an increased amount of hope for the rest of the '20s.
What do you think are the chances that they're will to even go that far?
The season Ivar Stenberg is having in the SHL is very impressive. He’s going to give thought to whoever is picking 1st overall. Seems to be a 3 way tie on who goes first - McKenna, Stenberg or Volerhoeff, with Lawrence, Belchetz and Reid not too far behind.

We'll be picking in the 8-15 slot because...you know.... Canucks
Ok I've self medicated now so all is right in the universe once again. Demko coming back should give this team the boost it needs to challenge for a wildcard spot
